We stayed from the 1st to the 6th of May 2023 on the 2nd floor. Two different rooms in many aspects that we also enjoyed. We loved the hotel as well as the owners and their family Mary, Tasos, Chara, Maria. They are all very friendly. Smiles all the way. Great customer care. I even liked the hotel's green color which gave me an even calmer effect than I already had due to the sea view. Every morning I'd relax on the balcony and sip in as much sun as I wanted, along with my coffee. We left with gifts from Mary like oregano bouquets from the rich nature in Methana, handmade spicy tomato sauce, a small bottle of strawberry drink and more I can't remember right now. Not part of the hotel's amenities, but what a lovely gesture. The view is great! It is also very quiet and very close to the port. Right on the central port road. Funny thing, I even loved the elevators music choices! Nothing like I've heard before. And no it wasn't just vacation mood. Whenever we needed anything Mary was there on the phone to help. Besides the hotel view and front, I'll add some more of the beautiful nature and animals all around that I came to see there. A great base to explore Methana from! Really close to the two therapeutical springs of Methana! The Radion and the sulfurous one. Thank you for a great time! I will definetely be back!! And of course I definitely recommend...
Read moreI don't normally pre-book hotels when travelling in Greece - I like the challenge of just turning up in a place and trying to find a room - but on this occasion I had a 17-year-old niece with me so I thought I would play safe. We stayed for two nights. This hotel is in the centre of Methana's short seafront, ideally placed for the few facilities available locally. Getting into the car park isn't so easy (a narrow gap between stone walls) though you can park on the street anyway. We had two adjacent rooms overlooking the seafront with tremendous views toward the island of Poros, and decent-sized balconies with tables and chairs. Everything worked fine: lift, shower, lights, wi-fi, aircon, fridge, TV etc. The family running the place were helpful and friendly and we both felt very much at ease. Breakfast was a bit limited but better than in a lot of Greek hotels where I have stayed. The price we paid was absolutely fine. I'll...
Read moreThe room we were given had nothing to do with the pictures on the internet! The room was so tiny that we couldn't move from the bathroom to the closet. The bathroom is so tiny that the wash basin is entering the space of the shower (without curtain of course!) The furniture was at least 30 years old, with the mattress was caving in and was one step from dismantling altogether. Needless to talk about cleanliness. The positive side was the helpfulness of the owner and some of the items of the breakfast buffet which were from the garden of the hotel. The breakfast is presented with a set plate with specific items, and you can add some extras. The hotel is centrally located and has a private parking area. We stayed...
