This is a fabulous place to stay and so well deserving of its 5-star reviews. We stayed here a week and absolutely loved it.
We were a family of four and we rented a one-bedroom apartment and a maisonette with two rooms, two toilets for our grown-up daughters. Both were nicely decorated and so well equipped and in real life look even better than the photos.
The windows had mosquito screens which were useful so you can have the windows open.
There were also two terraces on both (one out the back from the bedroom) and one out the front immediately as you go up the steps – easy therefore to always catch the sun/shade whichever you prefer.
Plenty of hanging/storage space in the bedroom. Comfortable spacious sofa to sit/laze and a kitchen space that had everything we needed.
Babis met us on arrival and a great host/manager of Moongarden.
Breakfast setting by the pool is wonderful and relaxed and really beautiful and the breakfast each morning was full of lovely freshly cooked/baked food, including home-made apricot marmalade from the trees on the land. Breakfast consists of fresh bread, yogurt, cooked breakfast, and fruit. Lunch too is delicious if you choose to have it there and includes fresh herbs from their herb garden.
The pool is lovely and plenty spacious. There was never more than about six people around it at any time during our stay.
Perfect setting about 15 mins from Mykonos which you can easily walk although some people caught taxis (which are readily available).
Everything on the property is kept tidy and clean and attention to detail is clearly important.
This is a peaceful/beautiful spot to stay. We loved Lesvos so much we have booked to come back later in the season. We would have booked to come here again but unsurprisingly they are fully booked so sadly will have to stay elsewhere but hope to drive by and pop in...
Read moreI have just returned from an amazing week at Moongardens. Staff were ultra friendly , especially Virginia who had a smile on her face every morning and was very helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was very good, lots of hot and cold choices. Lunches were delicious too & reasonably priced. ||Pool area was spotless and so peaceful with amazing views of the castle. No need to get up early to reserve beds, always plenty free. ||We had a 2 bed apartment , they were clean and well equipment , although they were quite basic and could probably do with a refurb, shower curtains should be banned 😊 ||It’s about 10-15 min walk into village where there are dozen’s of restaurants & tavernas to choose from. We didn’t have a bad meal the whole time we were there. Geia Mas was unreal, one of the best Mousakka’s I’ve ever had, so good we went back the following night, also Gatos was pretty good too. Sunset bar is a must early evening to watch the sunset obviously, very scenic. ||Will definitely be returning to Moongarden at the next...
Read moreMoon Garden village is set on main road into Molivos centre. There are no buses and the walk is approx 25 minutes along a very unevenly cobbled path alongside the busy road. It is not 10 minutes!Molyvos is a bustling small town, few shops but lots of restaurants/ bar. Also further round is the harbour where there are more. Great sunsets. |The accommodation is set in gardens with a lovely pool next to reception/ breakfast room. Heidi and the staff are friendly and very helpful. |Our one bedroom cottage was up several steep steps and had a small outside seating area. Was ok for us. Inside is very dated with dark furniture with a lot of space given to kitchen area. So many overhead cupboards. Also, washing machine, oven and a fridge that has seen better days but still worked! There was also a big single bed for a 3rd person, it was not comfortable as a sofa though. Lovely big bed with good quality bedding. Small shower/toilet. We enjoyed our stay but too remote for us. I would...
