I have to admit that we weren't all that hopeful about this hotel before our arrival. We had left booking until almost the last minute (the evening before, in fact) and it was clear that there weren't many rooms available throughout Keramoti.||||How wrong we were.||||The first thing that we must say about Kassiani is that its owners, who greeted us personally on our arrival, are perhaps the friendliest and most obliging people running a hotel we've ever met. Any reasonable request seems to be possible. If you want to borrow a bicycle, no problem (although it will be an old one!); if you want a beach umbrella at no charge, again no problem. If you want something different for breakfast, no problem. Greek coffee in the afternoon, cheap and again no problem, served with a glass of water as well.||||Our room was the last one available, and it was on the ground floor. It opens directly onto a small ground-level "balcony" under the shade of a very leafy tree. We were initially worried that being on the ground floor, it would be quite noisy, since Keramoti at night is not the quietest of places, but being double-glazed, with external blinds which can be rolled up and down as you wish, almost all the external noise can be eliminated.||||The aircon in the room is effective, and if you select the lowest fan speed, the noise is perfectly acceptable.||||The bathroom is not large and you may find using the shower to be slightly challenging, but it's a good shower with good pressure and temperature.||||There is a good-sized working fridge in the room, at least twice the size of the average hotel minibar. It isn't a minibar, just a fridge, so plenty of space for your own stuff.||||We were advised when booking that the room has no kitchen, as some rooms apparently do, but since we were on holiday we weren't planning on doing any cooking in any case.||||There are only a couple of problems to mention. The room seems to be not very well insulated from noise from adjoining rooms, although this wasn't a huge problem. Also the pillows are thin and not very comfortable. However we made do with what we had, and didn't ask for any others.||||The hotel is located on a side road and it does not face the beach. Nevertheless, it's a few minutes walk to the beach, and we didn't find it a problem in any way.||||We were so impressed by the standard of service that the owners provide here that it seems almost a shame to point out any negative issues, but we've mentioned them in the interests of objectivity.||||Given the excellent value for money for the room, and breakfast at 5 Euros each, we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.||||Incidentally, we saw quite a lot of people turn up asking for a room during our stay, most of them being turned away because the hotel was full, which is...

Read moreWe found this location online, searching someplace to stay for the night on our way to Thassos. We were very impressed! Everything was sparkling clean! I mean...you couldn't find a drop of water on the kitchean sink clean :)) The room was very spacious. It had everything you could need inside: a little kitchen with a small fridge, a sink and an electric kitchener. A small office corner; a wardrobe, a hairdryer, a small couch.. And the view is amazing from the terrace, even though is 2 streets away from the bay. The inner courtyard is very neat, with beautiful grass and olive trees; you have a place where you can drink your coffee in front of the reception; there are also toilets downstairs. The lady from the reception was very pleasant. We skipped breakfast but we had the possibility to eat it for 8 euros. The bay area is very close...I would say 5-10 minutes by foot (5 minutes far from the bay and 10 minutes far from the restaurants). Bottom line is that we realy enjoyed our stay , we recommend it by heart and we will...
