Filanthi Apartments — Hotel in Parga Municipality

For our family holidays this year we wanted to try some place close to home (we live in Ioannina), a not very busy location as we have a 3 year old, a place where we can be right on the beach front. We were a bit cautious with regards to the covid pandemic and even though while booking our room for 14 nights we were informed that Yiorgos (the owner) was complying with all current regulations with regards to room cleaning etc, we were wonderfully surprised upon our arrival to see that not only where the rooms clean, but they were actually SUPER clean. The entire building is approx 100m from the beach, providing splendid views of the beach and the sunset. Yiorgos is a great host, very friendly, very accomodating with any demand you may have, and made us feel at home. The room we stayed in was perfect for a 2 week stay, the kitchen was well equipped and we really couldnt think of anything they could reasonably do to make this a better...

We stayed here for 8 nights in mid to end July. Overall, our experience was good. The rooms are clean (and were cleaned every other day during our stay), well furnished and comfortable. The beach is a mere minute walk away, and the house is on a slight slope. A remark about the room is that although we payed for 4 beds, we had 2 beds, a sofa and an extra bed (the metal ones with the thin mattress). Also, we were promised a sea view, but the view was blocked by the house in front of us, so we got only glimpses of the actual sea. The owner was polite and understood English well. The only remark was that when we arrived, he was constantly warning us about breaking the room, damaging the room, etc. as if he expected that kind of behavior of us and talked to us like we were 10 year olds. I cannot find enough words to describe the very pleasant experience we've had here. First of all, the hosts, George and his wife, are very nice persons, willing to help you with everything you might need for your holiday. The apartments are big, spotless clean, they change the towels and sheets every three days, the garbage is taken out daily. You have a parking space in the yard or, if all are taken, few meters away, in a private parking owned by George, also. Very close to the beautiful beach and two of the best restaurants there.
