Jannis Fastfood — Restaurant in Parga Municipality

I recently visited Jannis and had mixed feelings about the experience. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, cozy and inviting, making it a nice place to relax. However, the service left something to be desired. While the staff was friendly, we found ourselves waiting up to 20 minutes for simple requests, like a clean ashtray, even on a day when the restaurant was relatively empty.

The food was solid, though I wouldn’t say it was exceptional. The highlight was definitely the gyros, which might just be the best on the beach. Unfortunately, our experience took a serious downturn on the second-to-last day of our visit. My wife ended up with food poisoning after ordering a cheeseburger, which was incredibly disappointing. We had to rush to a doctor in Parga, and it completely ruined our impression of the place.

While I appreciated the atmosphere and the gyros, I can’t overlook the serious issue with food safety. It’s unfortunate because we had high hopes for this restaurant. I hope they can improve their service and food quality, as it has...

They ignored my order twice. I asked for a half portion of gyros as an extra with my chicken breast. The first time, they simply left it out — the chicken arrived without the gyros. The second time, I ordered again and clearly asked for a half portion of gyros. I even told them, “Charge me whatever you want.” At first, they said they couldn’t do it, so I said, “Fine, just bring me a full portion of gyros.” Then they changed their mind and said, “No, no, we’ll bring you the half portion.” But again — they ignored my request.

Very good food we've been there for a dinner our family ordered pasticio, chicken fillet and pork souvlaki. Chicken fillet and souvlaki comes with a portion of fries and delicious sauces, souvlaki had tzatziki and chicken fillet some sort of mayo and mustard but it was good.
