We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Anna Platanou Suites! The suite itself was spacious and luxurious with a really nice bathroom and amazing terrace and private pool with beautiful sunset views across to Antiparos. We could have happily stayed there for weeks!||||Anna on reception was so friendly and welcoming and provided so much local advice and tips for exploring the island which made a big difference. She also personally prepared the breakfast every morning with lots of home cooked treats - it was delicious. The pool area was stunning and there was a decent and very reasonably priced pool bar menu available all day and evening (which you could also have on your terrace), which was great as it meant you didn't need to go out to eat if you just wanted to stay and enjoy the amazing surroundings and views. The cocktails were also incredible, and again very sensibly priced.||||The Suites are out of town near Agia Irini beach (as opposed to the main Anna Platanou Hotel which is in central Parikia). It is very handily on the bus route though between Parikia and Pounta (there aren't bus stops as such so you can just flag the bus down or let the driver know where you need to get off) so it was easy to get back into Parikia and also down to the port at Pounta for the ferries to Antiparos which run all evening (a trip over to Antiparos is highly recommended). You can get the bus timetables from the Paros KTEL website. Bear in mind the entrance to the Suites on the road (at the bottom of the long driveway) does not have a sign but Google Maps will get you to the right place. ||||We only had a car for one of our three days here (just to explore the island which we'd also recommend) so it is doable without a car but you would need to be prepared to take the bus or be organised (and prepared to pay!) to book a taxi in advance if you did want to get out and about. Car rental agencies in Parikia will drop cars off at the Suites though - we used Athina Rent a Car and were very happy with the service (we were able to negotiate for a basic car for €35 for 1 day in mid-June including drop off and pick up and all went smoothly).||||There are one or two places to eat about a 15 minute walk away (a taverna and beach bar down at Agia Irini beach and also a taverna called To Spitiko further down the main road - we tried the taverna at the beach which was quite good but the beach bar seemed not to have opened for the season yet and we never made it to To Spitiko). Good to have a few options nearby though if you didn't want to venture far.||||Overall a fantastic place and highly...
Read moreAbsolutely stunning family run hotel, with some of the best views and sunsets on the island, looking over the other Cycladic islands. The hotel is all suite, and we had the pleasure of straying in the suite with a private terrace and private Infiniti pool. ||Not only was the room huge and well appointed, but the terrace had a seating area, a big double lounger bed, and the Infiniti pool also had a corner jetted seating area. Truly one of the best hotel suites I’ve stayed in. ||Betty was amazing from the first minute, offering us amazing organic produce from the farms that they own - salad, olives, home made breads and cakes, and self produced olive oil which is the nicest we’ve ever tasted. Also for anything and everything else she has suggestions. Restaurants, car hire, reservations, massage contacts, taxis. You name it, she can provide it!||Anna ran things at breakfast and offered up home cooked treats every morning, which was a nice, long, non pressured breakfast every day. Also the cleaner - who unfortunately I didn’t get the name of :( - was really friendly, efficient and non intrusive.||We will definitely be staying at the hotel again, and I’ve already recommended it to friends and family. TIP!! - Contact the hotel for best rates, and also cut out the middle man with all the commissions! We booked through booking . com but next time will book directly.||The hotel is in the perfect location, central to everything, and also touching distance to Pounta and the ferry to the stunning island of Antiparos!||Thanks Betty, Anna and the team for an amazing and memorable stay! See you...
Read moreWe loved our stay at the Anna Platanou Suites in Paros. The Luxury Suite with Sea View and Outdoor Hot Tub was spacious and comfortable, and felt like a home away from home for us both. ||The room overlooked the ocean with a view of Antiparos. I can't thank Betty at the reception/bar enough, her hospitality was beyond our expectations. Betty booked restaurants for us when our phones were not working, sent over chamomile tea and local honey when we weren't feeling too well and recommended food delivery for the days we wanted to stay. ||The suites are conveniently located 10 minutes drive down a main road all the way to Parikia town centre, with free parking available. We liked renting a car and being a little detached from the town centre in our little haven, and would often go out for lunch/activity, come back to recharge and then head back out to Parikia or Naoussa in the evenings. ||The rooms were always kept clean, full of all the amenities we needed, air-conditioned and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The pool/bar area is rarely busy, with plenty of sofa-beds and chairs and affordable food and drinks options. Paros has all of the luxuries of the other popular Greek islands, but with its own charm and without the crowds or bustle.||We can't wait to come back to Paros on another holiday and stay with Anna Platanou suites. Thank you Betty and the Anna Platanou team!||-...
