We spent two weeks in a two-room apartment on the second floor. The balcony was big and had a view of the sea, the other side of the apartment faced the mountains. Rooms were a bit worn, but very clean. Cleaning was done every two days. ||The kitchen had two hot plates, a microwave oven, kettle, coffe brewer and some pots/pans. Not much, but since we only made simple breakfast and lunch it was enough.||The bed was very comfortable, the sofa not as much.||WiFi reception was strong, but connection was very slow.||||The toilet door would not remain closed, and there was no key to lock it. When told about this and shown, the hotel guy just laughed about it, so it remained like that for the duration of our stay. ||||All windows and balcony doors had built-in mosquito nets, very convenient. The bedroom had an AC, which sometimes would not start when needed to. The doors had sensors so the AC would shut down when a door was opened, but even with the doors closed the AC did not work every time. ||||We had a one year-old with us, and sent several mails before arriving, asking if a baby cot was available. Sadly, we got no response, so we brought our own with us. On arrival, the hotel staff said there were baby cots available, but it was a bit late. ||The staff, however, let us borrow a baby chair for feeding during our stay, very kind. ||||The hotel pool was ok, we spent some time in the baby pool, but preferred the sea. In the basement was a recreational room, containing table tennis, a treadmill and a multi-gym machine.||There is a hotel restaurant as well, which we never used.||For those with cars, there were many parking lots with shade.||||The beach was just across the road, with free sunbeds to use by hotel guests. There was nothing breaking the waves, so they could be quite rough in the afternoon. The sand was littered with cigarette butts. Sea bottom consisted of big rocks a bit into the water, so bathing shoes are recommended! I hit my foot on an urchin, not so pleasant.||||Several restaurants were situated nearby, so we bought take away-dinners to eat in the apartment (Akrogiali was our favourite). ||Neighbourhood was calm, not much noise from traffic or other guests. ||There was a small and expensive supermarket a couple of minutes away, but we preferred a bigger one about 10 minutes of walking (go through the exit furthest away from the beach and follow the road left for 10 minutes until it reaches a busier road, the supermarket is on the left). There also was a bakery next to the small supermarket.||||If you like sending postcards: we had to buy them in Preveza, as there were none to be found in Kanali! We got stamps at the post office in Preveza, facing the harbor. Also, there are no postboxes in Kanali. After asking around, we found out there is a local post office near the church in Kanali village...

I can’t recommend Apartment Katerina enough — it’s one of those rare finds that truly exceeds expectations in every way. Nestled in the serene village of Kanali, just steps away from the Ionian Sea, this apartment offers the perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and warm Greek hospitality.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and other people who are the epitome of gracious hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and even surprised us with local treats during our stay — such a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home.
The apartment itself is spotless, modern, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the living space was cozy and beautifully maintained. The balcony views were breathtaking, especially at sunset — a perfect spot for a glass of wine or beer in the evening.
The location is ideal — just a short walk to the beach, yet quiet enough to enjoy peace and relaxation. There are also great tavernas and cafés nearby offering delicious local food. It’s also a great base for exploring Preveza, Parga, and the beautiful Epirus coast.
What truly sets Apartment Katerina apart is the genuine care and attention to detail. It’s clear that the owners take great pride in offering an exceptional guest experience and it shows in every aspect.
