Restaurant- Grill "Akrogiali" — Restaurant in Preveza Municipality

The best restaurant I have ever been to! The food was amazing and the service left us without words! Our waiters, Fontas and Gianni run to give you the best experience, there is basically no wait in being served, that happens straight away. We came here on our second day of holiday and for the rest of our holiday we came here every single day. Food is absolutely wonderful and very quick. On one of our visits here we asked about deserts which unfortunately they do not have but been told about the place next door that serves deserts. Finishing our meal Gianni went out of his way(mentioning it was busy), without us asking for it, went next door and got us baklava and ice cream and bring it to our table. This left us speechless. Forgot to say that the desert was not on the bill at the end. Best place you can be if you visiting around, even if you visit Lefkada which is pretty close, I think you should come and eat here because it is TOP RESTAURANT! RECOMMEND WITH ALL HEART! Provato vedendo le belle recensioni lasciate su Google, il mio personale riscontro e' opposto, BASSA QUALITA' della carne,del pesce e delle semplici patate fritte e.... con prezzi molto alti. Abbiamo preso una bistecca di vitello, con carne dura, molto grassa e con molti nervi…IMMANGIABILE … patate fritte surgelate (da pessimo fast food, come ritengo sia questo "ristorante") x 13 € come da listino prezzi, un piatto di calamari SURGELATI,duri, "gommosi, fatti passare dal proprietario x freschi, con le solite patate fritte surgelate, pagati 20 € ,NON esponendo il prezzo sul menu' e senza che il proprietario ci ha MAI informato del prezzo anticipatamente. Abbiamo chiesto il vino rose' della casa, che non era disponibile, il proprietario ci ha proposto 2 calici di un rose' facendolo passare come uno dei migliori rose' greci, senza darci NESSUNA informazione sul prezzo.....quando invece il vino era anonimo,di gusto e sapore appena sufficiente al costo finale di 5 € a calice. Costo totale delle "buona" cenetta nella tipica taverna greca Akrogiali di Kanali 44,00 Euro…..una vera ESAGERAZIONE !! Per chiarire cio' che mi ha risposto successivamente il proprietario, "girando la problematica" sulla mia negativa recensione xche' ho scelto dei piatti troppo costosi che non potevo permettermi 🤣🤣 quando invece io contesto il cibo servitomi che e' di BASSA QUALITA' x i 44 Euro pagati. Se lo volete provare x rovinarvi la serata e' a vostra discrezione ….ma io NON ve lo consiglio. Uno delle PEGGIORI taverne, con prezzi DISONESTI in cui ho mangiato dopo oltre 30 di vacanze in Grecia 👎(x mia fortuna poche)...se avessi potuto dare ZERO (0) lo avrei fatto volentieri. My answer to your comment : Dear restaurateur, thanks for your explanation, first of all my name is Antonio and I am a simple tourist, not Berlusconi, and I just wanted to eat well and pay the right price, as I have always done in all the hundreds of Greek restaurants I have visited in over 30 years of holidays in your beautiful Country, I have probably always been lucky to find Greek people more HONEST than you, who in 33 years of service, have not yet learned to offer IMMEDIATELY and ALWAYS the good food and drinks of excellent QUALITY at a right price ... without the customer having to complain afterwards and request the replacement or offer the glass of wine by saying or writing the price first, do not wait for the customer to ask him. I hope my review will change your dishonest behavior towards your next customers ..... but I have serious doubts about it. See...

Welcomed immediately by the Son of the chef, in what is clearly a well run Family Taverna.

After hearing of the daily specials made by Mama, we were able to enter the kitchen to see the variety of local Greek specialties before ordering. The aroma and views convinced us both to order the lamb in a pot special (choices of rice, spaghetti or fried potatoes- we chose rice and spaghetti, which was served with a simple garlic olive oil, and fresh parmesan shreds on the side - YUMMY!), with a side of Tzatziki and local fresh bread. Along with the house white wine, which was fantastic, we enjoyed a tremendous, romantic dinner at a table for two on the veranda.

Highly recommended, and take advantage of Mama's specials...
