Skiathos Villa Jasmin — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

We met the owners of House Villa Jasmin, Stefanos and Jasmin in 2012 when we rented a boat from Stefanos at his water sports school on Vassilias beach. From day one we were treated like old friends, so when he told us about House Villa Jasmin it was the obvious choice for accommodation for our return in 2014. It was a fantastic decision and we enjoyed a perfect holiday full of wonderful memories. Stefanos and Jasmin offer the warmth, kindness and dedicated personal touch that no hotel can match. Their hospitality captures the true essence of Greece and it's kind, caring and hospitable people. Stefanos even met us in person at the airport and made sure we did not struggle with our luggage. They are perfectionists who have clearly thought about every single detail to make your stay homely, luxurious and comfortable.The villa is private, separated from the quiet road that passes it with a wall and electric gates making it safe for children to play in the garden or on the trampoline. It is surrounded by luscious green trees overlooking a traditionally Greek hillside and a well kept traditional Greek garden next door. We enjoyed many a glass of wine watching the sun set over the hills before us and listening to the distant sound of goat bells. We stayed in the three bedroomed apartment of the villa with three young children who enjoyed it as much as we did. The villa is a triumph of clever and practical design with a stunning spiral staircase, feature fireplace and comfortable living spaces that beckon you to relax. It is clean, the facilities are excellent with a bath and a shower which spared many arguments! and the bedrooms are air conditioned with clean comfortable beds. Forget mosquito repellents there are mosquito nets over every window so you can even sleep with the windows open! Due to the villas private location you will need a car but you are not too far from anything on the small island of Skiathos and like anything else you need Stefanos and Jasmin will take care of this for you. As I mentioned before Stefanos has a water sports school on Vassilias beach and as well as renting the villa we also rented a boat from him for two weeks. I recommend this to everyone and Stefanos will create a great package for you. We have 3 small children but the sea surrounding the south side of the island is sheltered and typically very calm so with life jackets on the kids it is without doubt the best way to enjoy Skiathos. The boat allowed us to enjoy the perfect beach on the nearby paradise island of Tsougria with crystal clear turquoise water and the amazing food on Arkos island, both of which are only accessible by sea and therefore uncrowded. Stefanos also offers water sports packages and his expert teaching is excellent for beginners. If you want to enjoy a drink at night without driving then Stefanos has a friend called Theo who has a taxi company. He is extremely reliable, friendly, well priced and no matter how busy it is you will never be waiting long. The villa is also close to Taverna Calma which offers amazing traditional Greek food in a family run setting. I am well travelled and I have to say that our stay at House Villa Jasmin was truly exceptional for all the right reasons. Greece has some 6000 islands, 229 of which are inhabited and each has its own distinct culture. If, like me, you wish to experience the authentic flavour of Skiathos, then Villa Jasmin is the ideal place to stay. Owned by Stephanos and his wife, Jasmine, it is located down a country lane off the main road. The villa is surrounded by leafy woodlands and has its own extensive lawned garden with an attractive outdoor dining area. The apartment I stayed in has a spacious open plan living area with two comfy sofas and TV, along with a dining/ kitchen area and shower room. Upstairs are 3 good sized bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twins, as well as another bathroom with twin basins, shower and an actual bath with underwater massage jets. I appreciated the lovely finishing touches and careful attention to detail throughout; samples of shower gel, make up removing pads and cleanser. A cleaner comes in twice a week, refreshing the towels and bedding. Sitting on the balcony in the evening, I watched a wild cockerel and his hens skuttling across the lawn while a cat stretched out on a sun lounger. A local farmer drove past, his dog riding on the roof of his truck while goats clamber to pluck leaves from the olive trees on the hillside. While hiring a car is advisable if you want to explore, there are good tavernas and supermarkets in walking distance, as well as Paraskevi beach. Stephanos runs a ski school on Vasilias beach where you can learn to water ski or rent a boat to explore the island...

I think the title says it all really. ||We feel so welcome each time we stay at House Villa Jasmin, we wouldn't stay anywhere else when we holiday in Skiathos. ||We stay in the 3 bed villa as a family of five and it is so spacious. The villa has absolutely everything you could need - Stunning grassed garden area with sun loungers and barbecue/outdoor dining area. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker/oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, large fridge/freezer, masses of cutlery and tableware, also a washing machine. There's a generous lounge area with TV and DVD player and a spacious outdoor terraced balcony with dining table & chairs which has great views. Three immaculate bedrooms which are all sizeable and beautifully decorated, include wardrobes and dressing table. There's also a downstairs loo and shower room as well as the main bathroom with bath, shower, loo, two basins and a hairdryer. There’s a plentiful supply of hand and bath towels, even beach towels. It really is five star accommodation. ||If there is something we need Stef and Jasmin are just a phone call away, nothing is ever too much trouble. They’ve made reservations at restaurants for us, taken us to the doctors when we needed it, even booked our car hire. They speak perfect English too!||We can’t recommend House Villa Jasmin enough and will return...
