This was my second visit to Green Park and it was even better than the last!||To start with, the hotel itself and the grounds are beautifully kept. Gorgeous garden, pool, bar area and restaurant. The rooms whilst fairly basic are all that you need are are kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. ||For us the location is perfect! You walk down a little road from the main one. The place felt safe, quiet and relaxing. The beach is a 5 min walk away and there are sooooo many gorgeous restaurants around. ||The family who run it are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly, kind and funny. They even seem to learn your routine. Niko knew exactly what time we would be ready for a Mythos and Aperol. The brothers put everything into the business working 7 days a week all with other jobs on-top of being at the hotel each day. They were great with the young children who either came for tea or who were staying.||The food at the restaurant is amazing! All so fresh and for the price are crazy good portions. The fried cheese starter is to die for and the Greek Style Spag Bol is the best I have ever eaten (so good that i spent the two years between my 2023 and 2025 stays thinking about it). ||Having read some reviews prior to my first stay (back in 2023) at Green Park I will say I was nervous. However, I can't agree with any of them hence why we came back. Like most families they may bicker but not in a way I would ever feel the need to comment or write a negative review about. As with a lot of times I see negative reviews on these things I do question what peoples behaviour was towards the staff in the first place to get such a reaction. ||We stayed for 7 nights and on the 4th day my partner badly sprained his ankle. Niko was amazing, giving us ice, calling a taxi to the hospital and helping us with whatever he could. For a lot of people the sprain would have ruined their holiday but we didn't feel that way at all as we got to enjoy the beautiful setting around us and were treated to real Greek hospitality. ||Every guest that stays at the Green Park is so friendly, saying hello as you walk past & chatting in the bar area. There are many who have been coming to the hotel for years and that says it all really. There is a really warm atmosphere at the Green Park and we can't wait to...
Read moreLooking for a little piece of paradise in Skiathos? Then Green Park may well be the place you're looking for.
It's a relatively small (16 room) set of self-catering apartments, well located in Agia Paraskevy to the centre of the island. Just off bus stop 16 and set back from the road, you walk into a lush, green garden, landscaped with trees and flowers and a beautiful swimming pool. You then enter the bar and restaurant area which is beautifully presented.
The hotel is family run with Nicolas and his two brothers Theodore and Alexander at the forefront of things, while father does the cooking and mother is a Jill of all trades. They are some of the loveliest people you'll meet and on our arrival we were told that "while you are here, you are family. Worry about nothing" - and they were right. The service in the hotel is fabulous, nothing is too much trouble and then there's the food.... wow. Father knows how to cook some great food, and while it's not necessarily the cheapest on the island, I would wager it's some of the best (and most plentiful!) There are a plethora of awards on the wall of the restaurant and I would say that they are all well deserved.
While you can book directly, the hotel is mainly serviced by two tour companies - one British and one Dutch. Everybody is welcome and there is a real community spirit around the place as you can sit and chat to anyone. During the day the bar is lovely and peaceful and although it livens up at night, the music adds to the ambiance without dominating it. It's a really nice balance of retreat and holiday hotel.
How good is it? If I said to you there were couples that had been going back to the hotel for 20 years, then that might give you some idea of how good the hotel is and how friendly the hosts are. It was only our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. The hugs from our hosts were a fitting end to the most wonderful of holidays.
If you are looking for a chrome covered, marble bathroom'd hotel ideal for all the family then I would say this isn't for you - but if you want a well equipped apartment with super comfortable beds and want to get away from it all, then Green Park really is worth a visit - but be warned, it quite rightly books up...
Read moreWe loved our stay at the Green Park, Skiathos. The Tzoumas family were warm and friendly and looked after us for the week that we stayed there, leaving us wanting for nothing. Nikolais greeted us on arrival and showed us to our room which was very spacious, clean and had everything needed for a self catering holiday. The kitchen area had a fridge, cooker and sink and was very well equipped. The bathroom, had a fabulous double headed shower, (one large over head and one flexible head) and again it was very clean. |The apartments are set in beautiful gardens which are looked after daily. At the rear of the building there are many different fruit trees and at the front a large lawned area surrounded by trees and shrubs. The hotel itself is located approx. 150 yards from the main road, and then another 100 yards or so past that to the beach. On the main road there are shops, restaurants and the bus stop (number 16) which has buses running in both directions every 5-10 minutes, with a cost of 2 euros per person into Skiathos town.|We dined at the restaurant most nights because the food was amazing. Again the service was impeccable. |We have booked to visit the Tzoumas family again for a week in August 2026 and can't wait to see them all. They made us feel like an extension to their family as...
