The site is located by walking distance to Stafylos and Velanio beaches and it has private parking, so location was great. It has private access to a secluded bay with some chairs and umbrellas where you can relax, swim and do snorkeling. We had the junior suite, ground level/1st floor. It was nice and clean. The mosquito nets in the windows and the possibility to open them from the 3 sides was great to have a good sleep with natural coolness from night breezes. The view was nice but partial to the sea since we could see other building so we had to keep the curtains closed. The TV was not working because of a power surge that happened in previous weeks. Jason, the owner, is a kind a welcoming person and every morning was there in the breakfast to give us recommendations in Skopelos. The breakfast was very nice with different kinds of sweets - we loved the particular homemade orange halvas, the zucchini pie, galaktompoureko and portokalopita. Jason and her mother Mando made sure that we are not going to forget the orange halvas and we are very happy for that. Thank you! For some reason the wifi signal was not strong enough in our room and that could not be fixed, and since Vodafone does not have good coverage in Stafylos we were quite disconnected. Wifi was ok in the pergola though (breakfast area). There are some goats nearby and one of them was "baaing" in a very funny way. Overall it was a great experience and we had a very...
Read moreWow. There's not many reviews to start with that word, but Mando deserves it, because our experience has been one of the best we ever had in Greece. Jason, the owner, is one of the most friendly, helpful and hospitable hosts you'll ever meet. I was here mid September with my wife and mother in law. My mother in law had problems to come from Skiathos to Skopelos because of the floods, but Jason went out of his way to help us in any way he could. He was genuinely interested in us during our stay and was just a friendly, relaxed and cool guy. The rest of the staff are really friendly as well: the cleaners, Jason's friend who was helping with breakfast every morning (although they wouldn't let me do the dishes 😉) and Jason's mother. The property is beautiful and is taken care off every day. The sea view from the rooms and the garden is perfect. The breakfast is out of this world! With freshly baked cakes every morning and lots of ingredients from their own garden in the cakes, marmalades, omelets and so on! But what stands out the most, is that for 5 days, we felt like being at home with family. We can't recommend this place enough, do yourself a favor and stay at Mando. It's not just a place to stay, but a home away from home.
Efcharisto poli, Jason and the rest of the Mando team! And say "yasas" to your mom from us (the Dutch guy, his Dutch/Romanian wife and Romanian...
Read moreThis occurred the village of Stafylos, ten minutes by car from the harbor of Skopelos Island where found a guesthouse called Mando’s Beachfront . There were green lawns, flowers, orchards , goats and about two dozen rooms in three small buildings , all this in the middle of a large park overlooking the sea. .The rooms were whitewashed with dark woods, stone floors ,open balconies, and incredible sea views . A long path across a wood led to a creek surrounded by high cliffs and only accessible by sea. You could jump into the green water and swim alone for hours with a couple of yachts and the distant rumor of a public beach as your only company.. When you came out of the water Jason , the friendly manager made sure you would get large towels , while Jason’s mother baked a cake to be served next morning at breakfast .We landed there by chance ,yet were sorry to leave . Swimming alone felt...
