Elvi — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

I rarely offer negative reviews. But in case I will make an exception. The host was very unfriendly and aggressive yelling at us that we have damaged the property because we spilled a bottle of Coca Cola on the ground in the yard. It sounds like a joke. We had to call the police because they kept entering the room before checkout and telling us that we damaged things like- the electricity (wich was working and I have no idea how could someone “damage” electricity, yelling that the table cost 200 euros and we damaged that also, that she gave us towels that are dirty now after we used them- What …. ?

When the police came they said we spilled oil on the table and we damaged the table and the floor with oil and Coca Cola.

The only oil we had on the table was the one that he offered us at arrival. So he put a plate with olive oil and bread on the table and then asked us to pay for damage. Again, the table had no damage. Even the police were angry because they had to come and told us there is no damage.

Horrible experience....

It was a great time which we have spent with all our family of 3 kids and 2 adults in Greece! Everything was great beginning from the first day and finishing the last one. Personally For us this Elvi place it’s like flashback in childhood in Ukraine: landscape, sea, grandpa and grandma, picnics outside with smell of grilled fish, dzadziki, Origano and olive oil in a company of endless zikadas (it’s a small insects which produce a special sound), beautiful and open minded people with great culture and religion, small churches and big mountains, amazing pure, beautiful and salt sea, unbelievable sunsets and silent mornings. Δωμάτια βρώμικα, χωρίς ζεστό νερό, και όταν παραπονεθηκαμε μας είπε να μην γυρνουσατε από την θάλασσα στις 9 για να είχατε ζεστό νερό. Άλλο δωμάτιο κλείσαμε και άλλο μας έδωσε. Αγενής και αυτός και η γυναίκα του και στο τέλος κλαίγονται και το παίζουν στεναχωρημένοι για να μην τους βάλεις...
