Family of 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 14 years) totally recommends this location. 1. About the hotel - nice and cozy, very clean, smells good everywhere, recently renovated, exterior garden design with greek beautiful taste (even with lemon trees and inevitable known greek wasps) in a chic neighborhood (only exclusive hotels on the street), real 100m walk to the Dasilio beach (1m of small rocks on the enter then fine sand, gradual deepening good for children, 3 nice beaches related but not crowded like in Golden Beach, silent and suitables for famillies, small waves or none, good for paddle, in the corner you can do snorkeling, you don't pay the chairs but only minimum consumption - ex. 20 euros for 2 chairs with umbrella; nearby, the Skala Prinos beach, nice but lying about Blue Flag), medium pool size with nice chairs, towels and water ok (good filtration but random pine leafs and others), the best coffee in the exterior bar, large natural parking in the back of the hotel (next to the pine forest) with posibility of charging EV's with personal equipment (plus EV's money public charging stations to other hotel 50m down on the street but carefully with bad applications). 2. About the room 306 (Double XL) - on the first floor, above the entrance in the hotel, big room with one double bed and other 2 twin beds, with the biggest balcony (although oriented to the sun all day long), A/C seems old but very good working, good refrigerator (no smell inside), daily pick-up of the garbage and change of the towels, almost at 2 days change of the sheets, nice, clean and organized toilet. 3. About the food - inspired half board (saves a lot of money), breakfast the same every day but consistent (nobody leaves hungry), dinner with 7 mixed hot dishes with daily changes (incl. fruits, sweets). 4. Strongest point: the hotel staff - always SMILING, greeting, helping, cleaning and working, smart and decided owner. 5. Nearby points: Batis Fish Tavern (270 m), Supermarket Dasilio (350 m), Sti Sesoula Restaurant (greek fish traditional, in Prinos Port, 3 min by car from the hotel), scuba center, small nice bakery, 1 or 2 souvenir shops (also in port). We will...

The place is however generally a bit run down and shabby. Reminded me somehow of backpacker hotels in Asia. Which in general I'm fine with, but not when paying european package holiday prices. Then the negative aspects cannot be overlooked.
Our studio (room with an extra sofa bed and mini kitchen unit) was old, run down and pretty dirty. I'm far from picky, but even I could see that the cleaning was superficial to say the least. Bed was small and hard and on the first night broken with a huge dip in the middle (dip was fixed the next morning, but the bed didn't get bigger or more comfortable). Bathroom was cramped and a bit mouldy with a tiny shower (which you couldn't hang on the wall) and only a badly fitting glass door with no lock. Thin concrete construction so you hear EVERYTHING from the neighboring rooms (and bathrooms!).
Internet was patchy and intermittent.
A bit disorganized; messages left with reception (car hire, airport transfer) weren't passed on to us.
Some info about the services offered by the hotel on various sites: Aircon...yes, yours for 5 euros per day. Private beach...yes, but the owner is not this hotel. Different hotels and bars with sun loungers along the beach, minimum spend is 4 or 5 euros, which is ok. Fitness room...if there is one then it is well hidden, I think it doesn't exist any more. Billiard and table tennis...yes, there are some tables outside, not sure if they are usable. Horse riding...I saw some signs a few km away for a...
Read moreWe had a truly wonderful stay at Kazaviti Hotel in Prinos, Thassos! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness by Theodosis, who generously allowed us to check in much earlier than scheduled.
He made sure we had everything we needed and was always ready with a helpful solution. We felt more like visiting friends than just guests — and that heartfelt energy is truly priceless.
We stayed with our 3.5-year-old child, and the place was perfect: friendly, safe, and ideal for families. The location is also fantastic — just a 2-minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach, with a gentle entrance into the sea that’s great for kids and relaxing swims.
Theodosis gave us wonderful tips on what to visit, where to eat, and how to make the most of our time on the island. We ate twice at Mikro Kazaviti, and it was a dream — amazing traditional Greek food in a peaceful, authentic mountain village setting.
Another big plus: an electric car charging station is available right next to the hotel, which made things super convenient for us. And let’s not forget the best coffee we had on the island — fresh and flavorful, served with care!
Our room was cleaned daily, everything was perfectly arranged, and the whole property felt peaceful and well-maintained. There are also plenty of attractions nearby, from charming villages to nature trails and local tavernas.
We absolutely recommend Kazaviti Hotel and Mikro Kazaviti to anyone looking for the true Greek island vibe, with genuine hospitality and unforgettable moments. Huge thanks to Theodosis, Dionisis & family — your kindness made our trip...
