Malimi — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

As we have never stayed in a Greek guest house i need to be careful what I write as maybe this is what they are all like, first i need to say that the setting is very nice right on the beach, unfortunately the water was not very clean maybe due to the port 100 meters away, the sunbeds which belong to the guest house are plain plastic without the normal cushion they usually have therefore not very comfortable, the rooms are very small but we got by, the view was nice we were on the front with a sea view, lovely sleeping at night & listening to the waves.. the major problem we had was that nobody came to clean the room or change bed sheets, i cleaned the room myself on the 5th day & requested clean towels & toilet paper, after the first week they asked if i would like the room clean & if i wanted them to change sheets & make bed or did i want to make it myself!! there is also nothing to do in the are so it was a good job we had hired a car, ever night we were either in Thassos town or Limenaria. If we had know there was so little to do we would have stayed closer to the town & a better beach as we were also leaving ever day to find a beach with decent sunbeds & sea. the other problem is that the doors are very flimsy everyone seems to slam them therefore making it very noisy. the property has great...

Location is easy to find and is right by the long sandy beach.||||The owners were very friendly and helpful, even making us an iced coffee on arrival after a long journey.||||The room was spotless and well supplied with TV, WiFi, AC and although small, it was very comfortable and with its own balcony with a table, two chairs and a clothes drying rack and an adjustable sun parasol.||Room 2 had its own private toilet and shower room over the corridor, which in fact was not a problem at all...... ( a key was supplied). ||||Car parking behind the hotel is free and the owner will direct you there should you need it .||||All in all, a very enjoyable stay at a great price, bed only, although there is a kitchen with a fridgefreezer should you wish to use it...

Have just spent 5 days at the Malimi guest house in Skala Prinos. Absolutely perfect position right on the beach, you step off of the ferry from Kavala and you're there. The family who own and run the guest house are very, very welcoming and I had a lovely greek coffee made for me each morning. The room was clean, bright and has everything you need there is also the use of a shared kitchen where you can prepare snacks drinks etc..They also have their own sunbeds on the beach for guest use. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and the owners are keen to make your stay comfortable. The view of the beach from the balcony is stunning. I would love to return...
