Syrtaki Taverna — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

This restaurant was recommended to me by the local tour agency Real Holidays, and the least I can say is I wasn't disappointed at all. I went to this restaurant 4 times in a row and tried many different dishes everyday. Every single time, everything was delicious, and the staff was always kind, welcoming, courteous, and easygoing. The food is fresh, consistently tasty and plentiful, and there are many, many, many choices to cater for everybody's craving and restrictions (vegetarian, meat-based, fish-based, pasta, etc.). THE WORST RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT IN THE WORLD!! They literally kicked out my family and my two young children because we just wanted dessert. No matter what we tried to explain that last year we went several times and only ate dessert. We came again precisely because of that dessert, which the children really liked. And at the same time, it was not crowded and there were a lot of free tables. It's just a shame how one thing like that can ruin everything, and good food and everything else. ONE BIG DISAPPOINTMENT FOR THE RESTAURANT...

We went here with my wife, and we didn't like it. Our order that consisted of 2 main dishes took about 45 minutes to arrive (despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty), the calamari on the grill was bitter and tasted frozen and rubery. The pork steak was dry and underseasoned. The complimentary bread was served without any dippings like butter, tarama or olives, making it pointless.
