Petra houses is three houses in one yard. The part of the yard not taken up by the houses and parking spaces is a beautiful garden with many different vegetables, herbs of all kinds, and an apricot tree. The garden is maintained especially for the guests; we were encouraged to pick and eat whatever we wanted. Each house has a veranda that is visually separate from the other houses, so the tenants have privacy from each other.||||Each house is 40 square meters inside. Two of the houses have very thick stone walls (hence the name) and are one story, the third is two stories. The owner let us tour this house and it has the living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and a large bedroom on the first floor. The main attraction for me would be the two balconies from which you can see the sea. Next to this house is also an olive tree which the owner assured us is the oldest in Potos. It’s huge and gives wonderful shade.|| ||One of the things I appreciated most was that all the furniture and amenities are of good or even very good quality; it gave the house a homey feeling. The kitchen has a full-size stove and oven and a refrigerator with a real, separate freezer. During our vacation in Potos, we stayed at Epicurus house, surrounded by the olives, orange and pomegranate trees and a small garden aside the terrace. It was an amazing feeling to go out of the house in the morning into the bright sunlight, have a coffee on the terrace and watch the nature. When we arrived, we found some precious presents: a delicious home baked cake, domestic wine, peaches, honey and cold refreshment. From the very first minute we felt welcome and enjoyed the kindness of our hosts Mani and her husband who were there for us all the time. Petra House Epicurus was a cozy shelter for us on our discovery through the Island, a place where we made our food and had a good rest between adventures. We stayed at Petra House named Epikuros at the end of september. Except that the house is excellent by itself the garden was still very fresh and around smelled of many herbs. It was quiet and we could hear the crickets and enjoyed the warm nights outside doing bbq sometimes. The house is 10 minutes on foot to the beach but for us it was better than 1st line with its crouds and noice. For family with kids or for group of frieds or a couple who like the silence it would be the perfect chioce. Very warm and relaiable hosts - Meni and Diamandis made us feel like at home.
