The Hotel is situated very near to the airport and before coming to the hotel, I thought that this might mean that we would be affected by noise and aeroplanes going overhead, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was virtually no noise and indeed, the fact that it is so near to the airport, in my view was an advantage as the journey time was just a few minutes, added to the fact that the hotel run a complimentary pick up and drop off service which was very easy and well organised.||The Hotel, itself is set amongst mature gardens with trees and lawns and has its own running track ( or in our case walking ) around the perimeter of the property - approx 1.4 km||The only disadvantage of its position is that there really are no local restaurants or tavernas within walking distance of the hotel - however the hotel offer a complimentary shuttle service into the city of Thessaloniki ( approx 30 mins ) where there are numerous places to eat - there is also a smaller village which can be reached by taxi which I believe is about 10 mins away.||We certainly went into the city during the day but decided that, as the hotel had a lovely restaurant and a bar next door - both with an outside covered terrace, we would eat at the hotel.||As you enter the hotel , the reception is very large and very modern and inviting with the restaurant, bar and corridors to the rooms all leading from here||The hotel buildings are all low rise and quite distinctive but clearly not of a modern type but fanning out from the main reception giving long wide corridors to the rooms.||There is a very large and magnificent swimming pool which has plenty of sun beds and shades and lots of places to sit, including a pool bar restaurant. There is also a children’s pool with a children’s club but this is set away from the main pool and certainly did not affect us at all. ||There is also an indoor pool in the Spa.||We were given a very nice suite with an enormous terrace overlooking the gardens and always it seemed shaded from the sun, which meant we were actually able to use it throughout the day, which was good as it was also very peaceful.||The suite itself was large including a Dining Area and sitting room with a separate bedroom and a lovely large ensuite with double basins and an excellent large walk in shower.||The furnishings were perhaps, a little dated and could do with the introduction of some colour but very clean and comfortable.||I did note that some of the rooms we passed had more modern furnishings but we were very happy with our room.||We requested that they service our room before midday each day and this was adhered to for the remainder of our stay which we were very impressed with.||Housekeeping were very good and we had no complaints.||I am a Globalist and so could take advantage of the Club Lounge which was quite large with a very nice secluded terrace - sadly all the tables outside had ash trays and as we dislike smoking, this was on occasions a problem - it would be good to have an area outside for people, like us who enjoy sitting outside but do not smoke - this is a minor point but there is room to do this.||During the day the Club Lounge is accessible for soft drinks, coffee and tea and cakes ( Best mini Doughnuts ever ) ||In the evening from 5.00 pm to 7.00pm, alcoholic beverages and food is available and the food varied every day while we were there ( 6 Nights ) and was of very good quality and with enough choice to suit most people - this was topped up regularly and the hot food was actually hot!||There was a good selection of alcoholic beverages and we were very well looked after by Sofia, who was lovely and Alexandra was also amazing and seemed to be everywhere - what a good team.||The bar had a very nice covered terrace with a simple but good menu.||Next door to the Bar terrace was the lovely Ambrosia Restaurant with an enormous covered and open Terrace ( including a Non - smoking terrace which was excellent ) with a wonderful view of the swimming pool.||The menu here was excellent with a good selection at reasonable prices and served hot - Gregoria, the manager was excellent as was Pedros and Aris our waiters.||We really enjoyed the relaxed but professional service at this restaurant and was another reason we saw no need to venture out to the city.||Breakfast was served in Ambrosia and had everything you would expect and topped up regularly. The food was again of a very high standard.||Stavroula, the manager was always checking that all was Ok and was very good to us.||We thought the 2 Kostas were perfect gentlemen and were just so good, having time occasionally to talk and allowing us to rearrange our table each morning and were always aware without being intrusive.||We also loved Domna who made us feel very very welcome with her fabulous smile.||Harris also was excellent.||There was also a delightful young trainee called Jacob that everybody liked - he was so polite and remembered exactly what we wanted each morning - he will go a long way in life.||We both felt that to start the day in such a relaxed atmosphere with nice people, good food and excellent service was a wonderful way to begin our day - they all deserve lots of thanks.||I must not forget Vasilis, the concierge who originally organised all our transfers - he was very efficient and polite and again very helpful.||I should add that the hotel has a nice Spa and also a very good Hair dressing salon, which my wife used and she was very impressed with Toulon.||I must also mention Eleftheria ( Guest Relations Supervisor ) who not only helped me organise the trip by e mail prior to our stay, but she made a point of finding us several times a day while at the hotel to make sure we were ok and always made time to talk and insure that we were having a great time - she really cared and we felt very honoured and cannot thank her enough.||Lastly, I am very grateful to Mrs Elena Biniara, the General Manager, who was simply charming and who was very visible and approachable to all the guests and always took time to to come and see us. She also took the trouble to listen to me ( and I am sure other guests ) and if it was a valid point make changes, which really impressed me. She is clearly respected by her staff and this always makes for a pleasant stay for the guests because the staff have a pride in their work and are happy - I am so thankful to her for overseeing my booking - a great General Manager.||In summary this is a lovely hotel set in extensive mature grounds with friendly, happy staff who clearly want to make your stay exceptional.||In summary this is a lovely hotel set in extensive mature grounds with friendly, happy staff who are clearly wanting to make your stay exceptional.||It is near to the airport but in my view this is an advantage but the hotel offer free transportation into the City ||The food and service are excellent and it is a perfect...

There is a full service Spa and Talented and Lovely Hairdresser on site too. 😀
The pool is a dream to swim in according to my 2 offspring and one of the largest I have ever seen...and I have travelled far and wide, stayed in lovely hotels when I worked in the airline industry.
Even now as a Ground Based Travel Professional I am invited to tour and experience the Best of the Best.
I came back this week to enjoy the most memorable breakfast I have ever consumed...Ever! In my university years there was a small restaurant that made real Dungeness crab and salmon benedict; It was the Top.
NOW it has been dethroned by the LOBSTER eggs Benny with Champagne hollandaise I had last weekend. TOTAL FOODGASM
I arrived in the evening hours and was pleasantly surprised by the warm Greek Welcome and being Greeted by name. It felt like being Greeted by long lost relatives. 💗💟❤
Indeed the front staff and even the breakfast staff still remembered me by name from last week. That was a surprise, and a pleasant one at that.
Maybe it is because I am Greek too..I am not certain, however the Greek people have an enchanting open hearted loving way about them that is such a joy to receive.
Makes me so proud to have my Greek heritage. Let me add that I have been touring since end of July with my 2 kids all around Greece and it has been an experience worth repeating for all of us!
I even have a picture with Eleftheria and my kids and the beanie boos they got gifted with at check out. We wanted a memory of our visit so the kids posed with Eleftheria and their new beenie babies in the gorgeous expansive atrium.
I can still hear their squeals of joy when they received them. The kids won the toy jackpot with their new beanie boos as they were the ideal size to take on the plane; and take them on the plane they sure did!
Please note I do not know if they always give out shuffles to kids at check out here. 😉
I am certain that will be one of their memories they will write about in their journal at school.
Staying at the Hyatt Thessaloniki is the Perfect and Telia end to our epic travels of Greece and Italy. The shuttle to the airport here minutes away is also complimentary: High Class all the way!
So glad I convinced hubby to spend our last night in Greece at the Hyatt in Thessaloniki! I had the blessing of misplacing my passport so hubby and the kids went on home without me😮 Hence my extended stay as I wait for the new one.
The Hyatt Thessaloniki is now our "go to hotel" when we land or depart from Thessaloniki SKG Airport. I have relatives here and the kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 to 12 hour beach days in Halkidiki: the 300 metres of coast line are a hidden secret beach oasis of sea sun and sand. We enjoyed 21 days of beach holiday and still came back for a few more before our 24 day cruise out of Rome.
It was also special treat to be greeted and meet with Cindy, the front of House Manager. She made a point of personally welcoming me back to hotel when I was at breakfast.
I will fondly remember my LOBSTER BENEDICT Breakfast...with a side of tea from the mountain or tsai tou Vounou with local honey of which there are different types of honey to choose from...PERFECTION!
Honestly...we all felt like we were on a luxury cruise ship at this hotel.
Our family..Well I choose annual cruise ship vacations for our enjoyment every year since 2005.
HOWEVER.. NOW..
Greece has cast a spell on all of us and we will be back to enjoy our 12 hour days at the Beach Bars eating the most succulent fresh tasty local Greek Food and rejuvenating in the Mediterranean Sea, Sand and Sun that one can only experience in Ellas GREECE💟💗💖💞❤
Greece is like a lover that lingers on in your soul spirit and being.
I invite you to come and see the wonder and enchantment here. 😗
With many Blessings..may you always be well.

We also want to give a big shoutout to Marios and Veselis at Concierge, who were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their local knowledge, friendly demeanor, and spot-on recommendations made navigating Thessaloniki an absolute breeze. The Executive Club was another highlight of our experience. The food was absolutely divine—each dish beautifully prepared and served in an elegant, relaxed atmosphere. A standout treat was the pistachio and vanilla cream dessert—pure ambrosia. You must try it!
A huge thank you to Adonis and Iakovos, our fantastic waiters, for their attentive and personable service—they truly made every meal feel special.
And last but definitely not least, a warm thank you to Christina at the poolside, who was an absolute gem. She noticed I was struggling to take selfies alone and graciously offered to take pictures for me. It’s that kind of genuine, thoughtful interaction that makes all the difference.
