Hotel Z Palace & Congress Center — Hotel in Xanthi Municipality

WE CAME HERE AT THE MIDNIGHT AND AFTER A FEW HOURS LATER WE HARDLY WENT TO THE BREAKFAST AREA IN THE HOTEL, IT WAS ABOUT FINISHING. WHILE ME AND MY FAMILY HAIVING BREAKFAST (JUST 10.30) RESEPTION GUY SHUT DOWN THE LIGHTS. “BREAKFAST TIME IS BETWEEN 7.00-10.30” HE SAID. ME AND MY BABY AND MY DAUGHTER 8 YEARS OLD, AND HOUSBAND DIDN’T LIKE THIS BEAVIOUR! AND WE LIVED THE RESTAURANT QUICKLY! WE SAID THE RESEPTION GUY THAT “THIS BEHAIVOUR OF YOU IS VER RUDE! YOU DIDN’T WAIT A FEW MINUTES TO SHUT THE LIGHTS DOWN!” HE SAID “THERE OS NOTHING TO DO! HE DIDN’T APOLOGISE. SO THIS HOTEL IS NOT GOOD FOR STAYING IN THIS CITY, IT MAKES YOU AND YOUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS UPSET. I came to Xanthi for many times, stayed at a lot of hotels. This hotel reseption guys are really RUDE !! THEY ARE NOT INTRESTED IN YOU; I THINK THEY DON’T LIKE GUESTS FROM OUR COUNTRIES. THEY DON’T LIKE KIDS! Location is good but you don’t feel youself fine, in this silent area. And hotel is very old. I KNOW THAT THE HOTEL MANAGER WILL WRITE, ITS COMMON COMMENT AS THE SAME AS REPLY FROM...

I really is not a five star hotel. Reserved this place as there was no availability in the area. Would not come again, unless the price is value for money. Rooms are dated and need renovation. The rooms don't have enough power outlets and the sofa is no comfortable at all. Bathroom door closes with a spring mechanism which is not convenient at all and bathroom light is placed in the wrong place. It looks that they started the renovation, but still needs a lot of work. There a lot small details that do not encounter this hotel to be a five star. Cleanliness is 4 out of 5, there is room for improvement. Parking spots are a plus though. Breakfast is average, nothing to remember of. Next time would try another...

This is a standard, decent business hotel, not appropriate for tourists. The hotel is designed for basic business needs. For example, if you’re attending a conference and just need a decent place to stay — this is the hotel. They charge an extra 7 euros for a gated motorcycle parking area. I didn’t understand that at first. You’ll need a taxi to reach the city center — it’s about 2 km from the hotel. The pillows were very thin, so I had to find another way to sleep comfortably. Be ready to feel “old” when checking out — you have to find the parking gate button by yourself. It’s your duty — you paid extra for it....
