Hotel Casa Salomé — Hotel in Guatemala City

I spent two nights in the Hotel Casa Salomé after arriving at Guatemala City. It is rather far from the airport in the Zone 1, walking distance to Palacio Nacional. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an old style architecture with high ceilings. The water in the shower is heated by a electrical device in the showerhead which in my room was not well isolated and I got a slight electrical shock when I put my hand very close to the showerhead (outch!) ||||Breakfast was included in my price but the restaurant was about 3 minutes walking distance away, at another street around the corner.||||The hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel is a modern one in the traditional style. Lovely rooms. Second floor is very interesting. Great staff, very friendly. My room was huge with a television. Nearby you can find a place for breakfast around the corner, visit the Jazz Club for dinner, and is close to supermarket and bank machine. This is not far from the airport and is a great base. Es un hotel cómodo, tranquilo y con buena localidad, ya que si vas solo de pasada y no quieres ir hasta la ciudad de Guatemala es perfecto, porque no te costará salir ya que esta muy cerca de la carretera panamericana. La recepción la hicimos a través de una página proveedora de hoteles y así como fue la recepción así fue de real, Francisco que es el recepcionista y socio nos atendió de la mejor manera super amable y hasta nos ayudó con el precio. Tiene un factor en contra que es que los baños son compartidos y no están adentro de la habitación, pero rara vez iva alguien a los baños, no fue un problema, aparte tienes una cocina y puedes hacerte todo lo que desees la cocina esta 80% equipada y es una buena opción por si no quieres comer fuera.
