Hotel Metropolitano — Hotel in Guatemala City

Sleazy management gave me the smallest, most awful room I've ever seen, even though my reservation with Expedia clearly said I had paid for a DOUBLE ROOM. No elevator, so I had to walk 3 floors with 2 suitcases, and no one helped me. I could barely fit in this tiny room, where I couldn't even sit on the toilet without my legs being totally pressed against the wall. Shower was dirty and in horrible condition. Water pressure was very low and there were little roaches roaming around the hotel. This has to be the absolute WORST hotel experience...

I only stayed in a single room with shared bathroom and shower facilities so I cannot comment on the normal hotel room. The rate was cheap and the hotel was secure. The owner was polite and friendly. It is a Guatemalan basic hotel and does not pretend to be anything else so do not expect anything extra.

Most of the guests are Guatemalan. I was happy with my stay because the price was cheap compared to other hotels.
