Hotel Quetzalí — Hotel in Guatemala City

My wife and my 6 year old stress reliever went to Guatemala city for a doctor visit. We are not too familiar with the city so we decided to stay close to the bus terminal. We have heard a lot of bad things about the city that is why we also wanted to stay close. ||||The hotel is very clean, the front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful specially the ones in the kitchen. The waitress was great. She already knew what i wanted every time i went to the bar :-) ||||We spent there 2 days. For the first day, we took taxi to travel around ( even though it feels cheap, it is not ) so we noticed every single stop and we were able to move around on our own after that. The market and the main street where all the fun things happens is just a few blocks away ( if we would have known before, we wouldn't have paid for the taxi ). We just made sure we were back at the hotel before the sunset!||||Overall, this is a great little hotel not to expensive! If we go back to the city again we will definitely...

Me hospede en este hotel casi de emergencia, por un cambio de planes repentino en mi intinerario, el hotel ya lo había visto físicamente en visitas anteriores, pero nunca había hospedado en el mismo.||Me hospedé en Semana Santa y tuve suerte de aún encontrar habitación.||Sinceramente fue algo que no esperaba, porque no me inspiraba confianza, sin embargo hice la reservación y pagué al llegar, fue por una sola noche, al llegar al hotel me doy cuenta que es muy agradable, y pues al llegar a la habitación, estaba mucho mejor de lo que podía esperar, la verdad, me hubiera gustado haberme quedado hospedado el resto de la semana en el mismo, pero ya tenia planes.||||La habitación es pequeña pero en lo posible es muy agradable, al igual que el baño, había bastante higiene en el mismo, es bastante recomendable para las personas que van por cuestiones de trámites o negocio, también para los que desean conocer en centro de la ciudad.||||La ubicación es una de las mejores puesto que esta frente a una estación de Buses que ofrece transporte hacia Petén, a media cuadra de otra estación de buses que tiene muchos destinos en el país y tan solo a dos cuadras de tres estaciones de transmetro, así mismo a dos cuadras de la Sexta Avenida. Para llegar al Parque Central, El Palacio Nacional y la Catedral y el Mercado, se encuentra de 10 a 15 minutos a pie, que haciéndolo a través de la Sexta Avenida es una caminata corta muy agradable.||||Sinceramente, quede muy satisfecho con este hotel y estoy seguro...

Small and old building not really a historic place, but very centric (zone1) and clean, the rooms are really small and there's little space for luggage, I could say it's right on what you can expect $35 per night.
