Perhaps this os the best hotel choice in Huehue but this isn't a good place. JUdging from previous reviews and the photos presented by the hotel web, it appears something drastically wrong has befell this hotel since the last review was written.||The faux- grand entrance was being painted and the smell of paint was overwhelming. The pool was neglected and the pool amenities (chairs, lounges etc.) were dirty and unusable. The gym also appeared in disuse. Obviously the hotel was going through some renovations but no apology was forthcoming from the folks in reception. Moreover, the room we were given was disagreeable; small, dark, unclean (particularly the bathroom) and it had been sprayed with some strong perfume-like substance that took quite a long time to air out. Overall it was very uncomfortable. Having read some of the positive past reviews we were wondering if is it possible that we were given the worse room in the hotel because we booked with Booking.com? (This has happened to us once before). The included breakfast was befitting the room, unappetizing. Not...
Read morethe word "Resort" is not exactly a word I would use when describing this hotel. It is dark and quite old. Maybe the name resort is attached because of the large Bingo room in the front of the hotel? The entrance is on the busiest street in Huehue. It is loud and cars traveling up until midnight honking, partying in the neighborhood, etc until about 2 am, on a Monday night. If you are a light sleeper, take ear plugs. ||No air conditioning and unless you keep the widows open, not much circulation. There is a standing fan on the floor which helps a little. No mattress covers on the beds. Sheets on top of mattress only. ||The breakfast was a made to order with about 4-5 choices. We assumed it was buffet, it took about 30 minutes to get breakfast, one server for the whole dining room. The order was wrong on the fixed menu , and no drinks were offered other than coffee. If you are in a hurry go early or maybe order from room and get a...
Read moreWe spent one night in Huehue at the Ruinas Resort. The staff was excellent, accommodating, and friendly. We requested more towels and they arrived within two minutes to the room. Breakfast was included, and was plentiful with fresh fruit juice and coffee.||||On the other hand, the room was very dusty and dirty. Our feet/socks were black from walking in the room. Even the common areas looked as though they hadn't been swept or mopped in some time. The pool was much smaller than in the photos on this site; I suppose it had been redone at some point, but it was unclean and shared a bar area where the public was welcome and was crowded with people watching a game.||||In our room, our toilet didn't have enough water pressure to fully flush, and we had to fill the tank with the shower hose, which was inconvenient.||||Overall, it was an okay stay with our children, but we'd look for a better option...
