Casa Buho B&B — Hotel in Sacatepéquez

Best place I've stayed at in Guatemala. Everything is very clean, the room is comfy, shower is excellent, and there is a couple of cute birds and a cat on the property.

I really liked the garden, vegetation and interior decor. Wifi works great, and breakfast was delicious every time.

Both the hosting family and the staff are very keen on guests having a great stay. And it was a shock for me to find out that the family speaks Swedish. That is probably the last thing you expect to find in the middle of Guatemala.

I stayed a night at the hostel and felt very comfortable. It was exceptionally clean—cleaner than most hotel rooms I've experienced for the same price—so I really appreciated that. And yes, there is hot water and complimentary Wi-Fi, and they even provided bath towels! The owners and staff were incredibly friendly. One staff member, Brenda, even took me to the trailhead (a few meters away down the street) of a hiking trail I wanted to explore. I would definitely stay...

Peter and Herminda are the loveliest couple. It was a privilege to stay at Casa Búho, they really made us feel so very welcome and at home.
