Absolutely OBSESSED with this contemporary art museum! The space itself it’s huge and open, and the artwork inside is some of the best I’ve seen in all of Latin America. The Guatemalan identity of each artist comes through as strongly through the art as it does when you travel around the country. The museum is a great mix of sculpture, painting, drawing, and photography. The permanent photography exhibit is extremely high level and better than many collections I’ve seen in the US. Read moreThis is an absolutely phenomenal art gallery and exhibition space! A must visit if you are on Santa Ana. They have clean and modern bathrooms, strong wifi, and free water. Costs are 50Q for adult foreign guests and kids/neighborhood residents/students are free. Plus a gift shop!
They have 3 current exhibitions going on and all are worth visiting and beautifully curated. Was in and out in about 45 minutes and spent loads of time in their cafe they made out of old chicken buses.
