I would not recommend this place!||The lake is amazing, and it is nice to be able to walk down to it from the hotel and have a nice sunrise, but other than that I think there are not many positive elements to mention, unfortunately. We had booked five nights and ended up leaving all six of us after three nights. This place is not what is seen to be online, so I’ll advise NOT to book here! ||First of all, the premises are not like in the photos. It is old and worn out compared to the photos, which we found directly misleading. This also goes for the activities advertised on the website. There are only two questionable paddle boards and kayaks. The pool is also dirty. Simply not the quality shown and described online!||Second, the restaurant was bad. Breakfast was ok, but really not good for dinner. Also, it was surprisingly expensive for something of this quality. Also, just FYI, if anybody else would like to have a beer on their holidays, they do not serve alcohol, and they ran out of coffee the last day. Since the hotel is a bit far off anything else, this was a shame and not what we had hoped for at all. ||Third, I booked a bed in a shared room. It was cold and damp. There was hot water for showers, but almost barely any water coming out. In my friends’ room as another example of the many small issues, the bathroom door kept locking from the outside. This speaks to the general quality of the buildings. Further, one night when it was raining, it started raining in through the roof and within minutes, the roof literally (!) fell down, and the water started pouring in. Luckily, my friends stayed in a private room, where I could move in. The girl in the reception was kind and understanding about this situation, but also only offered a partial refund of 250 for the nights I slept in the other room. I found that a bit cheap compared to the situation. ||Fourth, the power went off for the full premises on our last night and morning. This was not solved nor any compensation suggested. ||Fifth, as an international traveler, be mindful that the staff do not speak English, and international cards were rejected every time in the restaurant. ||Sixth, it says they have WiFi, but this is only in the restaurant. ||Seventh, there was a lot of trash on the grass that weren’t cleaned on the days we lived there - a needle and a condom for example.||Finally, the receptionist helped us organise a few things, which was nice, but they also took a heavy fee for it, which we found out accidentally (like 30%). ||All in all: not at all what we expected or hoped for. I find the website directly misleading. I would not recommend anyone booking this hotel for a trip to Lake Atitlan for a long list of reasons, and I’m very sorry we...

This property is incredibly beautiful and unlike some of the nasty reviews, we thought it was a great stay.

We had some issues with spiders (likely due to rooms not being very used), but staff was incredibly accommodating and kind, especially Ingrid, and it was taken care of promptly.

They do have hot water, clean sheets, and clean towels.

It is somewhat remote from the town of Santiago but well worth it for the property and experience. You can easily get into town with a Tuktuk for 10 quetzals. We hope they stay in business and more tourists come to stay. Great place to relax for couples or families, and seems like a great wedding...

Estuvimos hospedados del 1 al 3 de julio 2025. Ingrid y todo el staff es super amable y agradable, atendieron todas nuestras necesidades, estuvimos con 2 niñas pequeñas de 3 y 4 años y nuestra estadía fue magnífica! No dudamos en regresar! Me parece increíble que haya personas poniendo opiniones malas de un lugar, precioso, que se nota se preocupan por darle un buen mantenimiento. Las habitaciones son cómodas, se han preocupado por darle una decoración única, las áreas verdes son muy lindas y bien cuidadas, la piscina la cloran todas las noches y limpian de insectos y hojas todas las mañanas, obviamente, al estar rodeada la propiedad por naturaleza, a lo largo del día puede tener insectos u hojas en la superficie, pero la piscina está en buen estado. El acceso al lago está bien, como en todos los sitios tendrá riesgos a cuenta de los visitantes, pero en general desde su muelle, y con los chalecos salvavidas del hotel yo pude nadar y refrescarme en el lago e incluso tener a mis hijas dentro del lago conmigo, pasando un rato agradable e inolvidable. Quizás la comida no sea espectacular, pero tampoco me parece que tengan un mal servicio de cocina, los precios en el restaurante me parecen promedio, para comida de hotel, quizás un poco más elevado que si uno come afuera en restaurantes de Santiago, pero también se tiene esa opción de salir. Leí algunas reseñas de personas quejándose por que no hay WiFi, si van a este lugar a gozar de sus vistas y tranquilidad y necesitan estar enchufados al Internet, se pierden seguramente de todo en la vida.
