Hotel La Posada de Mi Viejo — Hotel in Comayagua

I stayed here while on a medical mission with a group. This family owned hotel has a small pool and jacuzzi in the courtyard, great for cooling down and relaxing.||I often travel alone and would feel very safe here under those circumstances. It is gated and guarded.||Within walking distance is a small mall, grocery store and a wonderful little spa around the corner.||A five minute cab ride will get you to the town plaza, where you can visit one of the oldest bell towers in Central America.||Although Comayagua is not necessarily a tourist attraction, if you find yourself there for a few days, it's a great little spot. ||As far as food goes, we were served a buffet style breakfast as we were a large group. This hotel has horrible service. I stayed at the hotel el Campanario and sincerely was a lot better with less personal I had made arrangement prior to staying at this hotel. The environment here is very unpleasant I went to order food asked a question and was answer with disrespect as well as complete disregard wouldn't even look me in the face was to busy texting or being on his phone. Loud employee leaving at 4 am and they are laughing expecially at the kitchen. I will never in my life stay here again I have no choice I prepaid cash. I felt so unwelcome here. If you are traveling to Comayagua, this is the place to stay. They have 24 hour security, and the staff are very professional. It is located near downtown and isn't very far from everything. It is about 15 minutes from Soto Cano. The rooms are really good, clean, and has water from its own source, not the public water system. This means that if you get a drink with ice, you don't have to worry about being stuck in your room for days.
