Restaurante La Baranda — Restaurant in Comayagua

We invited clients out for dinner recently and they selected this restaurant. What an excellent selection. Other than them closing their doors early (8:00PM) we have nothing but rave reviews for their food, service and establishment. Very nicely decorated, great atmosphere and an outdoor seating area. (we sat inside) The food was fresh, plentiful and tasteful. They also carry a wide selection of good wines. We suggest ordering as soon as you get there as they tend to get busy and the food could take time to come out (se we were told). Easily the best place in town. Great flavors, great dishes and amazing options throughout the menu. It's definitely targeted for seafood lovers, but even for someone who isn't big on seafood, this place will not disappoint. The cocktails are delightful and the staff is great. My favorite dishes are the salmon with pesto , the salmon carpaccio and lobster tail, the sides are just perfect, specially the salad. I cannot express enough how much I love eating...

Mi novia y yo tuvimos una pésima experiencia comiendo el este lugar; aprovechamos el feriado del 1ro de Mayo para visitar Comayagua y este fue uno de las que primeras recomendaciones que nos aparecieron. Cuando llegamos el lugar no estaba a 100% de su capacidad, sin embargo se tardaron más de una hora en llevarnos nuestra comida, ordenamos una orden de kazabe que no es nada más que un platito con unas tajaditas de yuca, se tardaron 45 minutos en llevarlas... vale que eran para picar mientras esperábamos la comida... cuando finalmente llego mi plato, un pescado de 1.5, estaba pequeño y las tajadas estaban mezcladas, bueno, para resumir, hasta un aro de cebolla le salió con mis tajadas de plátano mezcladas con tortilla frita (chips). Para finalizar pedimos la cuenta pero nunca los llevaron, tuvimos que irnos a instalar a la caja para que nos cobraran, y eso que no es nada barato.
