We stayed for 4 nights in the studio apartment in Icelandic. Generally, the apartment has great value for money. It is spacious and contains more equipment than what we expected. The whole studio has only 1 radiator which is suggested to be set to 3/5 due to specific reasons - subjectively, I prefer a bit warmer accomodations or at least the flexibility to heat up/cool down.

Kitchen contains everything required - you can eat breakfast, lunch, cook food or tea, clean dishes or wash them in a dishwasher very easily. It also has a microwave. There's space for 4 people around the table.

The bed is very comfortable and the cabinet has a lot of space.

Living room part has a nice LG NanoCell TV and also can fit up to 4-5 people.

Bathroom is what we had a few problems with. First of all - it contains everything needed for a comfortable stay - shampoo, shower gel, regenerator, towels and nice warm water. It is also spacious. On the bad side - wall mounted towel dryer was broken so we couldn't dry our towels properly. Towel holder is a minor issue, but the shower seemed to have some sort of malfunction and it would keep having "hot - mild - almost cold" water temperature all the time. We have reported this so that it can be hopefully fixed. Also, the bathroom tends to be very wet after showering because the shower wall is not closed from all sides. We didn't hear any ventilation working so there was a lot of steam and also, there's no heating in the bathroom so it gets a bit cold.

Location is great for tourism because we were leaving the town with rent-a-car every day and the location makes it easy for you to leave/enter town without entering any traffic jams during rush hours.

I will return to this accomodation if I ever yome back to...

What a great place to stay in Reykjavik area! The price can't be beat and you get so much for what you pay! You get a whole apartment to yourself, which includes a fully functioning kitchen (so you can save money on food by cooking some yourself) and even laundry room available. The laundry room is on the 2nd floor of the building and is free, detergent is also supplied. The apartment is a small studio but is perfect for both short and long stays. It has everything you might need: kitchenware with pots, pans, coffee maker, cutting board, dishsoap, salt, pepper, cooking oil, sugar and even teabags; shampoo and conditioner are provided in the bathroom. Our stay was for 7 days and we're so happy with Icelandic Apartments we're going to only stay here next time we visit Reykjavik. We asked if we could check in early and were allowed to check in 2 hours in advance - thank you! There's a cafe 5 minutes away and Bonus grocery store across the street. Parking is free and ample. Very quiet, we could not hear neighbors at all. There's an elevator in the building in case you have heavy luggage. The view is beautiful of the lake and the mountains in the distance. The apartment maintains a comfortable warm temperature. As far as proximity goes, it only took us under 20 minutes to get to the apartment from Hallgrimskirkja church in downtown Reykjavik. The only way it could be better is if there were hooks for coats and keys in the small foye as you enter the apartment and maybe an air fryer in place of an oven, but that's just extra ideas. Thank you for a great stay to Kristina and everyone at...

Overall, our stay was a painful two night one. Firstly, some room inclusions listed were incorrect: - no full size fridge/freezer (small bar fridge only) - no electric kettle, (just a traditional one that was broken) - no washer/dryer in room (central one was partially out of action) Lots of missing/damaged items: - quilt and bath towel for just 1 person, despite being QS bed. Still had pillows for two though - quilt not wide enough for two (it didn't fit across the bed - it was a single) - we found a 2nd quilt, we had to scrounge another towel and cover, and fit it ourselves - the bed barely fit between the walls - there was no room to get out of bed 1 side - head injury hazards from bed shelves above the bed and the lamps because of how you had to get out of bed - to avoid all this, we had to sleep in reverse (heads at the feet end, feet at head ends) - bed lamp broken - light switch continually fell off - no teaspoons - ceiling panel missing - almost no TV available - supposedly there was Satellite TV but it didn't work. There wasn't a space issue either - 41sqm was just poorly used. Despite the number of apartments, there is no reception onsite. We had no delays getting in, but I did see a customer working over the intercom for over 30 mins trying to access their room. We did complain via Hotels.com but neither they nor the provider wanted to help. We don't normally complain about stuff like this, but this was awful. Avoid room 503! Better still, stay elsewhere!

These apartments have free parking. The car park is fairly large, but during work hours also used by the local businesses. To access you will need a code. This will be sent to you just before your stay. Inside there are stairs and a lift. There are balconies at the end of every corridor, so even if your room doesn't have one you can still access a balcony. The views are amazing especially from the higher floors. Some of the rooms also have North facing windows. There are washing machines and dryers for everyone to use. .these are on the second floor and are free. The rooms are not serviced during your stay. Clean up your own mess. The rooms have a small kitchen with a little hob, and a microwave and kettle. The sofa bed is very strong and sturdy, and enough for an adult to use. If you stay here you'll need a car. Its a great base for travelling around from as these are right next to main road access. It's not an easy walk into Reykjavik from here though, you'll need transport. Opposite the apartments there is a supermarket, and also a little cafe. There's a larger supermarket just up the road too. I cannot recommend these enough, and think they're excellent value for money. I've stayed here twice now and will use these again !!!
