We stayed here on the last weekend of March 2024. We were 4 adults and a toddler so had booked 2 rooms. Didnt have issues finding the place through Google maps. ||Ample parking space. Checkin was fast and hassle free. |AC in one of the rooms wasn't working properly so they called mechanic and since he couldn't fix immediately they changed the room. But then the 2 rooms were not next to each other as we had wanted. The rooms were booked in advance so the staff could have done a basic check before allocating. The room we booked didn't have a cupboard so had difficulty in keeping clothes otherwise room and bathroom was clean.||Though we did not order a wide variety of food, just basic rice, dal, sabji, chicken or fish etc. The food was freshly prepared and tasted like home. They were nice enough to cook separately for my kid as instructed. We had all 3 meals at their restaurant and liked it. The only con was there was no AC in the restaurant so might not be very comfortable to eat during summers. The staff was well behaved and polite.||The campus/garden is very beautiful and well maintained with lots of plants and trees. There is a small pond also.||There are few auto/totos just outside the main gate and they can take u for sightseeing.||One of the evenings there was a group which performed a small play.||There was torrential rain after midnight and the electricity went off. We did not have fan/AC for almost 2 hours. It was really uncomfortable and we couldn't sleep that night. The staff said, the generator room was far from their living quarters so they could not come in rain. Understandable, but 2hrs without fan/ac is not something I can appreciate especially when we driving back next day and needed a good nights sleep.||So apart from the power issue found this place nice and...

I had high expectations for Panchobon Art Resort in Shantiniketan, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Overpriced Rooms: The rooms are outrageously expensive for what they offer. The décor feels outdated, the amenities are substandard, and cleanliness seems to be an afterthought. For the amount they charge, one would expect at least some basic comforts, but instead, we were left with a poorly maintained space that didn’t justify the price tag.
Worst Hotel Management: The management is a complete disaster. Staff members seem clueless about customer service and are unresponsive to complaints. Every issue, whether big or small, was met with indifference or outright rudeness. It felt like they simply didn’t care about the guests’ experience.
Lack of Basic Facilities: The property claims to be an “art resort,” but other than a few random decorative pieces, there is nothing special or artistic about it. The amenities promised during booking were either unavailable or barely functional. Wi-Fi didn’t work, water supply was irregular, and room service was painfully slow.
Poor Food Quality: The food was another letdown. Limited options, bland taste, and exorbitant prices made dining here an unpleasant experience. Even the complimentary breakfast was subpar.
Bad Location Management: The location might sound serene in theory, but the lack of proper maintenance around the resort ruins the charm. Overgrown weeds, poorly lit pathways, and a general sense of neglect make it far from relaxing.
Overall, Panchobon Art Resort is not worth the money or the hassle. There are far better options in Shantiniketan that deliver on both comfort and service. Save yourself the disappointment and...

This has to be the worst resort, I have ever set foot on. The people are extremely rude and lack basic courtesy.. Let me inform about the complete exprerience Booked room from 27-30 December 2022, by speaking to Hotel Staff Rs 4000 was paid as advance, and the remaining was to be settled during checkout (like any normal hotel) Arrived at the Hotel on 27th at around 12:30 PM to check in. (The place is in a very remote location). The recepionist, and asks us to pay the balance amount, even before showing the room or check in. The only answer she has to this absurd request is that the "this has been requested by management" Since this sounded every peculiar, we asked to speak to the Manager. Enter a middle aged man (with a load of attitude) and starts an argument, when we were just wanted to have an conversation. The guy starts shouting infront of my six year daughter and wife. So you can understand the ordeal we had to go through. Finally he agrees to show us the room. (This guys name was supposedly Tapas Mallick who is the owner of the place) We walk to room which is in sorry state and still being cleaned. By this time, we had enough signals that this wasn't a dependable location, and staying here was risky business. So we decide to contact an alternate resort. While on the phone we again encounter the guy who confronted us in the reception, this time with a lit cigerette in hand, asking us in a rude tone, "Do you like the room?" Thank fully we were able to leave the place with our luggage, unharmed but traumatized for good... !!! So I would definitely not recommend this place at anyone, and staying here would be...
