What a discovery !
One had heard about it from friends but the actual visit was truly a surprise experience.
On all four fronts the place turned out to be the top of the rating stars.... The Property... amazingly royal... perched on top of the same hill as the history laden Chanderi Fort....just before you enter the fort... with the Chanderi Town spread down below from West to east echoing the bells of the mandirs and the calls of the mazjids. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well kept with vast terraces and verandas... lovely comforting morning winter sun and windy evenings give an ambience of peace and serenity !
-The Staff...very courteous, ever helpful and gives all out efforts to make your stay memorable.
-The Food....never expected to be thaaat good ! The chef turns out both Veg/non veg dishes which are just exactly what the palet prefers....Isriale miyan is too good and ever so unassuming.
-The Shopping...well the ladies went wild.... with the bargains and discounts even the far flung friends and relatives gained some gifts and presents !
And over and above all...the 'Fifth-Factor'...Mishraji.........the self styled "major-domo' with multiple talents including drama, history, mythological anecdotes, coordinator, helpful advisory, yoga master etc..etc with his normal duties of head steward, caretaker and the only person on the property at night for exigencies or emergencies from the staff of ten !
In fact it wouldn't be wrong to say that present team headed by the affable and efficient Mr Tripathi is managing this small boutique property very efficiently with their extra hospitable approach which makes the overall experience a treat !
So guys... amazingly amazing is what describes ' Kila Kothi'
PS A must do there includes a Bundelkhandi lunch and an evening of the...

Accommodation: We were in a suite on the upper floor with a city view. The breathtaking vistas provided a panoramic view of the entire city. The natural beauty of the surroundings added to the charm, with monkeys occasionally hanging out on the upper terrace and the constant chirping of birds throughout the day. Both the sunrise and sunset were spectacular, with the winter weather adding an extra layer of allure.
