Captains Quarters — Hotel in Goa

Booked this place for one night via booking.com based out on the good reviews for a group of 10 of us. Got the confirmation within seconds. Wait.. the story doesn’t end here!

Within few minutes i receive a message on booking.com from property owner that prepayment is necessary to confirm the booking. Fair enough, I immediately responded back seeking details for the payment. No response from the property so i tried calling the property. I guess the person was P Sharma whom i contacted. He asked me for booking details and BOOM he cancelled the booking within seconds! And then says they take booking only for ‘minimum 5 nights’ with like absolute no guilt!! Before the call, i get email and notification that booking has been cancelled. I had to call to confirm and instead i get cancellation confirmation! Imagine i had not even called the property, I might have happily assumed my booking was through.

This place might be good ( sorry could not confirm since I did not have the privilege to book for 5 nights!) but will not suggest these kinda place if the concerned is irresponsible and shows absolute no apathy towards the customer.

Request booking.com to look into this and delist this property!

Found this gem of a place near Baga Beach, Goa when a group of us guys and gals were looking to celebrate a friends' landmark birthday. Captains Quarters is a 3 storeyed fully AC, 5 room property with a nicely equipped kitchen and a private pool in one of the floors. The rooms are well kept and the decor is tasteful. But what made the stay especially great was the awesome service by the two young caretakers, Rahul and Rajendra... They were always there and then they weren't.. Perfectly discreet, invisible when we wanted to spend time amongst ourselves and appearing just when we wanted their help. They made some delicious breakfast like sandwiches, poha, Paranthas & Bread Upma... All lipsmacking and as we wanted to party outside we didn't have any other meals made by them. But their behaviour and service was the cherry to our Birthday cake... Highly recommend.. May look expensive per night, but when split amongst 8 of us it was very...

This place cancels your booking if you dont book the stay for 5 or more days. Moreover, the staff speaks in a very adamant tone and cancels the booking made by you without giving proper reasoning. Highly dont recommend you book this property if you dont intend on staying...
