When in Goa the Lazylagoon Sarovar Portico Suites is a great option. It is a nice quaint hotel in Baga. 43 km from Dabolim Airport. The hotel boast of 44 rooms, a very lovely swimming pool and two restaurants. The hotel experience starts right at the airport. As soon as we landed and were in the airport coach to the terminal, we received a call from the hotel chauffer, telling us that he was waiting for us at the terminal. So as soon as we got our baggage we were well on our way to the hotel. Being a Sunday morning, we encountered little or no traffic on our hour long drive to the hotel. A light drizzle welcomed us at the hotel. Check-in was seamless even though we arrived early. Soon enough we were in our rooms… and wow…. were they spacious. The room opened into a little sitting room that led to the bedroom. Nice and spacious. I was particularly impressed by the bathrooms. They seem to be recently renovate and were nice and contemporary. Unfortunately, I do not have a photograph that I can share. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool that is very inviting and with a depth of 5’ in the deep is relatively safe for both swimmers and non-swimmers alike. They say, a way to a man’s heart is through the stomach and so to “woo man”, good food is a must. Although in Goa there are many more options. I am personally not a great fan of buffets and I tend to choose just a dish or two from the buffet. But our group, almost 28 of us, probably tested the elasticity of the hotel with extended timings and personal requests. The kitchen and service crew obliged smilingly. I personally enjoyed my masala fried eggs with croissants and anjal (seer) fish curry with rice during my meals at the hotel. Goan Fish Curry is a warm and tangy fish curry that is cooled with coconut milk I think we also pushed to the extreme Lennoz, the mixologist at the OLA, He was at his best making dozens of Margaritas,, Mojitos, Whisky sours etc. #Lennox4Life Two sides of a coin • A breakfast is never complete without a good cup of either tea or coffee. If you request for a beverage beyond the standard masala chai on the buffet, it takes forever to reach the table. The hotel needs to improve this part of their breakfast service. Help the hotel beat the issue by ordering early. • Croissants are my favourite breakfast roll and I do not appreciate them being cut into half and served on the buffet. The hotel could do better by baking or outsourcing a smaller size so we can enjoy them as a whole. . I would definitely recommend staying at this property in Baga. It works great both for groups and well as for families. . #Lennox4Life #diningtales #diningtalesbypuneet

Where do you go for 3nights something nearby to mumbai and want to leave the metro hustle /traffic etc and the answer for me was GOA. yes we were advised of MAy heat but we hoped the climate will change and YEs it did yaay it rained too ,infact now back in mumbai its more hot then goa i feel Choosed lazy lagoon through mr. cornelius dsouza and ms anjali .Had lots of good advise and pre arrangement done by mr cornelius pre checkin. As we were travelling by road and it took longer than expected ,informed the same to mr cornelius and he in turn co ordianated with ms shilpa, mr devendra and mr keshav for our late dinner post closure of dinner time. Yes all our meal arrived and was delicious ,thumps up to the whole effort taken. When you come from one of busiest city to GOA you want peace and relaxation ,this is the place to be . The sarovar lazylagoon has everything nearby and still far from maddening crowd. This is what i was looking for when i left from mumbai. The property has everything to offer for all age groups,be it clean swimming pool, open bar nearby, fishing zone at river, indoor game room, gym and pool table. The restaurant has loads of variety of food spread with welcoming staff who takes care individually with mouth watering delicacy. Picture perfect property for young couples /family and business meets and seminars. Was surprise to see a selected room and place made specially for wheelchair bound /physically challenged passenger.Blessings to management as the section is ommitted in many others known places and hotels everywhere else in world. Our stay was enjoyable and we had good time in Goa.would like to thank Mr cornelius dsouza in making a holiday into our life time remembrance . Ms anjali for helping in reservation Ms Shilpa for arranging our booking and smooth check-in . Mr Devendra for looking after all of us for four days continuously. Had good long chat and shared lot of Mutual service industry tales. Mr Keshav for arranging our meal be it late night dinner or early morning takeaway breakfast. Mr Raj thank you for lovely meal and congratulations on winning the pool game final . Shall look forward to meet you again personally whenever time permits. Promise you that we shall again visit the place which made my parents smile. Thank you once again from bottom of my heart " Hats off you all your colleagues for a wonderful job. Keep up the good work. Cheers!!

Lazy lagoon is a lagoon facing resort located at proximity to Baga. It's one of the best resorts I've visited in goa.The property is a boutique resort with green fauna and Flora in full glory along with habitat of some birds and animals. The property has 44 rooms, divided into suites and garden facing superior rooms, conference Hall, meeting Hall, small banquet, dining hall and restaurants and bars namely Balcao, Promenade,Tavern and Ola and a beautiful swimming pool. The interiors are contemporary and several amenities like complimentary wifi, mini bar, live match screenings in lounge area and live music make it the best of experience one can ever imagine. The staff is courteous and prompt. You will feel like home at second day itself the way they greet you and ensure that you have a gala time. The property is surrounded by palm trees and coconut trees and the sight of River and green belt makes you feel close to nature. The Spa named "Awesome" is true to its name.I experienced an Aroma massage on the day when I was checking out.The therapists are trained and professional. The spa rooms are clean and maintain strict norms of hygenine and discipline. It was one of the memorable spa experience. Apart from buffet breakfast which is complementary,we tried lunch (a-la-carte) and dinner at lounge area. The food is great and menu selection in buffet is impressive.Staff is prompt and the live counters caters to the customisation too. Their reception incharge Aisha took care of entire group like a family. The place is suitable for those who are looking for a peaceful place for relaxation as well as those who love to go out in beaches and the proximity to baga and calangute ensures that the traveller gets best of both worlds. It's amusing to know that the property is nearly 50 years old in existence And certainly worth trying on your next Goa trip.

We had a 2 week holiday at The Lazy Lagoon Goa in Feb 2018. Our initial impression was good, the hotel appeared clean & atractive to look at, we booked premium rooms which were small but ok.

When checking in we asked if we could be either located on the ground floor or as near as possible due to my father being 81 years old & unable to climb stairs, we were told our rooms were on the second floor and nothing could be changed until the following morning, the room was in fact up 4 lots of stairs!! The following morning we were told there were no other rooms! Throughout our stay the hotel was noticeably quiet! A large number of rooms were not occupied.

The Hotel is run by very young ignorant incompetent people. If we asked for simple items such as 3 towels in room that slept 3 we were ignored and spent much of our time phoning reception requesting towels to be ignored. My father was given a fold up bed which collapsed when he sat on it resulting in him falling into a wall, the staff who came to check the bed & replace it found this funny.

The Hotel is not near any bars or restaurants so a taxi is needed to go anywhere, the Taxi company based across the road from the hotel refuse to allow any other Taxi companies to pick up guests from the hotel and charge higher prices. When we tried to use another taxi we were threatened by the said company which the Hotel staff refused to support us with.

By day 3 our party came down with severe food poisoning confirmed by a GP, the gentalmen staying in the room next to ours also had severe food poisoning as did a number of other guests. The hotel staff excepted responsibility for the poisoning evan asking us to help them identify the source of the problem, our holiday was ruined by sickness.

At the end of our stay we were given feedback forms which we completed honestly these were given back to us and we were told if we didn’t rewrite them giving positive feedback we wouldn’t be given a complimentary room to shower & change before flying home!!

On our return home we complained to our holiday provider ON THE BEACH!!! They allowed the hotel in question to carry out an investigation on itself! They obviously denied all knowledge of unhappy guests or food poisoning, I have personally never heard anything so ridiculous.

We have visited Goa for the past 10 years staying in various other hotels and have never been unwell or had cause to complain.

Please DO NOT book this hotel our visit this year was for my father to say goodbye having himself being a visitor for 26 years and now to frail to continue visiting. This was ruined by the hotel.
