Our recent stay at Meraden La Oasis was nothing short of disappointing. Despite the hotel’s promising facade, the experience we had fell far below expectations. Here’s a breakdown of the issues that plagued our stay:
Poor Service: The overall service at the hotel was subpar. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that the staff lacked basic hospitality skills, and they seemed indifferent to guests' needs.
Lift Out of Order: With our room located on the third floor, the out-of-service lift was a major inconvenience. We had to carry our luggage up and down multiple times without any assistance. Despite raising the issue, no solution or apology was offered.
Room Service: Room service was extremely disappointing. Requests were either ignored or took an unreasonable amount of time. Basic amenities were neglected, which added to our frustration.
No Top-Up of Toiletries: The toiletries were never restocked, and we had to repeatedly request essentials. This lack of attention to detail made the experience frustrating, especially for a family on vacation.
Room Condition: Although the rooms were spacious, they were poorly maintained. The rooms felt shabby, with visible signs of wear and tear, and to make matters worse, we encountered cockroaches. The washrooms were in similarly poor condition, showing clear signs of neglect.
Housekeeping: The housekeeping staff was unprofessional, with one particular staff member being especially rude and uncooperative. Basic requests were met with an attitude, and it felt like we were imposing rather than being valued guests.
Kitchen Staff: The kitchen staff seemed to be newly hired and struggled to understand our orders. This resulted in incorrect or delayed orders, which made dining a frustrating experience.
Restaurant Experience: The food quality was average at best, lacking in both flavor and presentation. Surprisingly, the hotel even charged for a bucket of ice to accompany our drinks – a small but unwelcome charge that left a negative impression.
Overall, Meraden La Oasis was a letdown, and we wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for a comfortable, stress-free stay in Goa. This experience was far from what we had expected, and we hope the management takes steps to address...

Read moreLoved this place.. Quiet but still at a very good location in Anjuna.. Just besides Artjuna, one of the best Cafes of Goa.. The staff is helpful and very nice.. They gave us the best bike and taxi guy references.. The bar besides the pool is was a plus.. We ordered lots of drinks and snacks when in pool and they were on toes to help.. Reception were welcoming and polite.. Housekeeping made sure our rooms were clean and tidy when we came back in evening.. We gave them a good tip to encourage them to work the way they do and keep up the good job.. Snacks to try with drinks here are peanut masala and chana masala.. Drinks are not too costly and reasonably charged.. We came late at nights and someone was always there to give us the keys.. They have another hotel of their chain just 200mts from their place called Meraden La Opus.. They were kind enough to show us that property too.. Thanks to Nilima, who helped us in bookings and reservations.
Only thing I didn't like personally was one of their head manager who was shouting on staff.. We won't hurt the rating because of one guy, who didn't know how to tackle things smartly.. He did it only one day but in common areas and in front of us as well.. Which I Personally felt bad for the staff.. He has an office assigned to him.. He shall learn how to deal with staff in a closed environment away from visitors.. One who expects professionalism from others should first showcase it himself and learn himself first.. The staff ain't slaves but human beings..
Thank you Meraden La Oasis for the wonderful time we had.. We're coming back...
