We checked in the hotel, we were at the gate nobody helped us with our luggage, when told about this they said its does not come in the policy of the hotel, I said it does not come under policy, it comes under etiquettes. They asked for the payment at the time of check-in, generally the payment is made at the time of check out. The receptionist behavior was not good. We have booked for a single double bed but they gave us a room of two single beds, saying no rooms are empty. The rooms were not in a good condition, all the plug points were loose, fan was not working properly, above all the geyser was not working. When we complaint they told they will provide us with hot water in the morning. In morning we had to leave for site seeing, but when asked for hot water they told one room has recently been vacant we can use that washroom, that room was not even cleaned after checkout, it was messy, the bathroom was very dirty with last night partying, beer bottles and vomiting. when we told how could we use such a dirty washroom which has not been cleaned after check out, the staff replied " If you want to use, use it otherwise it will cleaned only when there will be time for other guest to check in." He didn't bother to arrange for hot water. we had booked for two days but staying even for a single day for difficult. People stay there only bcoz of the location as its right on the beach but what is the use when one cant enjoy the stay, it spoiled the mood and trip. Even if facilities are not good, it can be compensated with the behavior and support of staff but the kind of behavior the guests receive there spoil the calmness of the beach. Morever, they cancelled my booking through booking.com with remarks as no show up so they don't have to pay commission to them, and did check...
Read moreMy recent visit to Sarita's guest house was truly remarkable, largely due to the kind and attentive assistance provided by the seasoned gentleman on staff. It's important not to be swayed by negative reviews, especially if you possess a good-hearted nature and treat everyone with respect – you'll undoubtedly find a welcoming atmosphere awaiting you.
The restaurant's proximity to the beach only enhances its allure, offering a serene backdrop for a memorable dining experience. While it's true that the menu reflects higher-end pricing, the quality of the cuisine more than justifies the expense, promising a culinary journey worth savoring.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of encountering the charming dogs and cats on the premises, adding an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting ambiance. Additionally, I must express my gratitude to the accommodating staff for their assistance in retrieving a forgotten item, showcasing their dedication to ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
In conclusion, if you're in search of genuine hospitality, delectable cuisine, and a delightful atmosphere, I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in the offerings at Sarita's...
Read moreI booked a room at this guest house on Agoda and got a confirmation back from them. Payment by credit card at the point of booking (always my preference) was not an option. I assumed, wrongly, that the confirmation had secured my room and that I could pay in cash on arrival. I then received an email from the guest house telling me to call them and make a payment to secure the room. I called them. They wouldn’t accept my Mastercard as payment and told me, most unhelpfully, that they would not hold the room for me unless I used a payment system that I did not have available to me. I strongly believe that if a hotel uses a booking site such as Agoda or Booking.com it should either accept credit card payment upfront or honour the booking by accepting cash on arrival. A dismal experience with this...
