Staying at Sanjana Homestay in Choj was like finding a cozy hideout between our big adventures. We only planned to stop for a day but ended up chilling there for three, all thanks to Raju Bhai's awesome vibes. His place might be small, but his heart's huge, making us feel right at home.
Tucked at the end of Choj, we stumbled upon his spot on Google Maps and thought, "Why not?" The rooms were snug and cheap, plus Raju Bhai provided us with extra blankets and fresh water every night.
Even though there wasn't a bathroom in our room, the shared ones were squeaky clean, and he even gave us bathroom slippers. The common room was the place to be, with board games and all. Outside, there was a swing and chairs where we just soaked up the sun and stared at the mountains.
And the food? Man, it was the bomb! Raju Bhai's a pro chef, whipping up everything from the menu and then some. Plus, he's the ice cream guy in Choj – bonus! We ended up eating every meal there 'cause it was so good.
Raju Bhai wasn't just hospitable; he let us leave our extra stuff while we went on a short trek, which was super cool of him. Before we hit the road, he packed us some sandwiches for the journey.
