HOTEL ROYAL STAY — Hotel in Gujarat

The most unhygienic place I've ever stayed at. We were driving through Gujarat and decided to stop and sleep for a few hours when we come across this place. The blanket was not changed for sure as it was crumpled and didn't look fresh at all. Luckily we had a spare bedsheet and used that on top of their sheet and slept without pillows too since they looked dirty. We had no cover for the night but we're so tired that we decided to just sleep for 4-5 hours. The bathroom was another whole nightmare! Don't think their cleaners are trained to even notice dirt, forget clean. The mirrors were filthy looked like the mirror has never been wiped even once after placing it there. The bathroom fittings were broken and those not broken didn't work well. The staff, when we checked in at 3am were as awful as the place. No greetings, no manners, no politeness, no customer service, no nothing. On top of that after he took our ID's to photocopy, he just threw them besides the log book, I had to actually tell him off cause by then I was convinced it wasn't that he was sleepy, it's just that they've employed someone who has zero training on check in or anything related to hotels and neither does he possess 1% manners. Just the worst experience in a hotel ever. My advice, please drive a little further and find a better place or even sleep in your car if need be it. Rooms are new (they opened in March) and well designed with good plumbing fixtures.

whats not good:

The wash basin is too small can't keep anything. there is enough space available to have made a washbasin with a platform, but just a small Ceramic basin is installed.

no kitchen facility other than making chai / coffee

no basic facility like iron to press clothes!

no restaurant within a 5 min walk. Even after a 15 min walk the restaurant available is not very good. The staff doesn't even lnow the names of any nearby restaurants. ideally they should have menus of nearby restaurants, especially when they dont have a kitchen

all of thesw would still make it a 3 star at worst. so why am i rating it with a 1 star?

i was woken up at 7:10 am to the person at the reception ringing a bell, doing pooja at a small mandir they have made near the entrance. He ignored me when i asked him to stop.

a peaceful noise-free stay is a basic amenity in any hotel. There is some noise from the highway, which is understandable. But keeping a mandir and ringing the bell for over 3 minutes even after being asked not to, is ridiculous and inhospitable.

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Royal Stay

I recently stayed at Hotel Royal Stay from August 28, 2024 to August 29, 2024 and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Despite the hotel's promising appearance, our stay was marred by several issues.

The room was not clean upon arrival, with dust and dirt visible on the furniture and floors. The bed sheet was dirty with visible stains and smell, with worn-out pillows. The food service was limited.

The staff seemed unfriendly and unresponsive to our concerns. Very rude front desk official, while booking we were told food service is available and when called to place order for additional food, as the quantity of the food was small he started yelling at us couldn't we have ordered sufficiently. Unfortunately, Hotel Royal stay failed to meet our expectations.
