An amazing property located in Vadodara. This is one of the most premium hotels for any traveler be it business or leisure. The entrance lobby is spacious and tastefully decorated with ambient lighting. You also have the pinxx restaurant on the ground floor which serves a wide variety of delicious cuisines.
Coming to the room, it is quite spacious and well maintained. The central air conditioning makes sure the temperature is comfortable throughout the time you are in the room. The room has ample amount of storage spaces for your clothes as well as a mini bar in the room. The bathroom is spick and span as well as equipped with all amenities. There is also a hairdryer attached to the side as well as all the washroom amenities.
The hotel contains a well equipped and full-fledged gymnasium on the top floor which basically is a rooftop gym from where you can get an amazing view of the city during your workout. The breakfast which is served in their in-house restaurant has a huge variety of dishes from North Indian to South Indian, continental, fresh fruits, juices, cakes, donuts, etc. The taste of the breakfast is amazing and the staff is friendly and professional.
Just a small thing that the hotel needs to improve upon is the room service. The room service is sluggish at times and you need to call upon multiple times to get your work done which is not a good thing in such a business hotel. Read moreWe booked a banquet hall at this hotel on 28th August lunch 2022. Overall experience was good including staff behaviour, food, hospitality, banquet hall quality and management.But ,we had a bitter experience which needs serious attention of the management and the reviewers as well.
They have a rule that we can only hire 2 of their preassigned vendors; they provide details for decoration. Out of them , one is inexperienced and expensive. Other is very arrogant and says I dont take orders less than 25k for a simple balloon decor of a baby shower!!
One manager of the hotel Mr Vikas Singh forced and did not allow outside vendor giving safety reasons. But we remained adamant on our request. Finally he agreed but after that our vendor increased the price of decors and upon asking the reason vendor informed us that Mr Vikas is asking for 3k rs in order to allow them for decor
Completely illegal bribe!! In addition to that he talked rudely and mannerlessly. At last moment he again refused to give banquet hall for decoration until his arrival on the day of event just before 1 hour of actual event! Created a lot of panic ! Not expected this kind of incoherent,rude and arrogant behaviour from hospitality business
We take service of the price we pay and it is not a favour!

Read moreI am posting this review as I stay here. I checked in yesterday and would be staying till the 1st of Jan. Here are some of my observations below. I stayed here in 2019. Obviously in 2 years the place has gone down hill. The rooms are just about ok but not maintained at all. I do appreciate the effort they took when due to maintenance reasons we had to shift the room. But in the first place the room should have been checked properly by house keeping. The second biggest let down is their restaurant. Food is strictly average. Even the breakfast spread is disappointing. Nothing seemed fresh and no efforts were made to even ask if things were ok. People at the restaurant just seem to be going through the motions. No courtesy and no effort to make sure people are happy with the service. When you represent Orchid as a brand i definitely expected things to be different. There's absolutely no consistency in what they do here. It is highly disappointing that I came expecting I would be staying in Orchid but frankly this is at best a 2 star property. Look for other places to stay. Unless there is a drastic improment Iam not coming back here...
