The property has a great boho vibe, just as the name suggests. Rooms and washrooms were spacious and clean — definitely a plus. The food was quite good, both veg (My recommendation as i am a vegetarian) and non-veg (Recommended by friends) options were satisfying. However, avoid ordering the Siddu at all costs. At ₹450 for one, it was a complete letdown — we ordered two and couldn’t even finish one. You’ll find much better Siddus elsewhere in the valley at better value.
Parking is another issue. There’s limited space and, unfortunately, the staff doesn’t assist you with it. While I do understand that mountain properties often face parking challenges, a little help or guidance from the team would go a long way — especially on weekends when crowd and chaos are expected.
Another major letdown — they had mutton on the menu, but when we asked for it, they said it would be available the next day. The next day, they casually told us to get the mutton from the market ourselves — and let me tell you, the market is far far away if you are in search for mutton. That’s not how a premium property should function.
And now the biggest issue — water. There was a severe water shortage at the property, to the extent that we didn’t have enough to even freshen up. This problem persisted for three straight days. Honestly, that was very frustrating.
That said, the property has multiple cosy sitting areas which are well done, and the staff does try to cater to small requests within their limitations.
In summary — it was an okayish stay, saved by cleanliness and decent food. With better management, proactive service, and by fixing the basics, this place could truly live up to the "premium clientele" tag it claims. Until then, I’d recommend it...
Read moreBoho Grove takes you away from everyday life and may make you wish you never went back.
The serenity of this charming homestay located in Tirthan Valley is like sitting at the riverbank amidst the gushing noise of the water. You still remain calm and connect with yourself, holding your thoughts.
The colors, rooms, furniture, curtains—everything is based on the bohemian idea, and there is a solace in it that a person tired of the cities looks for. You won't believe that I didn't realize when I fell asleep just looking at the wall, the window in the wall, and the trees and mountains outside the window.
Talking about the river, the Tirthan flows a few steps away from here. The melodious sound of water, along with the birds and the wind, creates wonderful music in the morning and evening. If you wish, you can go on an easy walk to the nearby Choi Waterfall.
The hosts here are very sorted, polite, and kind-hearted. You will get a complete family-like atmosphere. You can sit with them outside on a bench carved out of a tree trunk and talk for hours about life, cars, roads, or any topic. Sacrificing thousands of conveniences in the city just to sit on the bench by the fire in the evening and talk over a sip of tea is priceless.
Now, talking about food, home-style food is the specialty here. The food is served absolutely fresh, and your taste buds will be awakened by the mountain water, vegetables, and spices. I have never eaten such fragrant potatoes and puris in the morning.
You will also get WIFI for WFH here, but believe me, leave all this in the city and just connect...
Read moreThe place is beautiful but pathetic service and people. The food service is extremely slow and they didn’t had many of the dishes on menu. They had dogs, German Shepherd to be more specific. There were small kids in our group who were scared of them, when we requested the property owners to keep them away from the kids. They asked us to leave but they will not behold their pet dogs for 1 day. They charged 150 rs for a 10 Rs glass which was broken.
They had some games in their play area, my kids played with Monopoly for 10 mins and kept it back. While we were checking out, they came to us and informed that 1 card is missing in that game and asked us to pay 725 Rs as game cost. When we refused to pay they said that they will call the Cops. However, we didn’t wanted to exaggerate the situation and hence paid for that.
We went there basis the reviews on google. When we reached there, they were fighting with another guest but we thought that there can be some reasons. While we realised that they have a social media manager who ensures them with full of fake reviews.
Please don’t get fooled of the fake reviews, this is worst home stay we had till date. So you can take wise decision for your hard earned money. These rude people don’t deserve genuine...
