Hotel Amandeep — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

This hotel staff became our life savers. First up, we had booked this hotel only a few hours before landing in Mcleodganj. Oyo helped us to book it but the check in time was 10 am. Unfortunately, our bus dropped us in pouring rain at 4.15 am at Dharmashala bus stand. We grabbed a taxi and headed to Hotel Amandeep, just hoping that they would be open. They were not. So banged the hotel gate. I called Oyo a couple of times but they said the phone wasn't reachable. We kept banging. To our surprise, a staff member opened the gates for us. We requested to sit at the reception untill the check in time but he checked us in at 4.30 am itself, saying we may have to pay half a day rent extra. We were MORE THAN FINE with that. He helped us get our luggage to the room, got us tolietaries, water and other things at that ungodly hour. Hotel is good but owner And staff are very rude. First of all if you have booked this hotel through oyo, goibibo or make my trip or whatever. They will not accepted their price money and defenetley they will not let you check in. Then they will ask you to call oyo or goibiobo or other applications customer carer for upgrade their price money for rooms. At the end if it is too late than u will not have any option to get another hotel. This is a new style of this hotel's owner to make money. So please dont book this hotel. Food was good but staff was very very rude. Food price was very high. Also if they include breakfast as a complimentary with your room than u will have only one option toast bread everyday. Great hotel, good staff, and good food. Nothing fancy, but everything was simple and perfect. As a hotelier, I know how challenging it can be to deliver excellent service with limited resources, and the staff here did it brilliantly.

I visited this hotel after having the worst experience of my life at Hotel Mastiff Pong View, which is just 50 meters away. My family and I came to Hotel Amandeep late at night with zero expectations, but this hotel far exceeded them. The rooms were clean and budget-friendly, and the food was simple and delicious. I will definitely visit this hotel again...
