When you call a hotel for confirmation of your booking and they don't have a clue, you know things have started going downhill.|Now the story - We had booked two rooms and called the hotel for confirmation, the guy was clueless and asked us to call another number (which constantly went unanswered). Called up the first number again and they say that they can't confirm till the time other number answers up. Had to make them see through their inhospitable attitude and we were asked to call after 15 minutes. We did and got a confirmation that the rooms are indeed booked. Finally!|We reached around evening and no one offered to pick our bags. Usually we carry our own luggage to the room on our own but this was a first, the service was not offered in the first place|Now moving to the room, we had booked semi-deluxe rooms and were given rooms at -2 level (2 floors beneath ground level).|Since we had opted for the cheapest available room, we were expecting something on the same lines but the room seemed to be archaic and depressing. It seemed that once upon a time, the room would have been good considering that there was a lot of wood work (tastefully done) but the maintenance was zero. Was not worth spending the night. |The hotel was rating 4.7 out of 5 at the website from where we had made the reservations, overall the experience was less than what's expected for such a highly rated hotel (not TA rating but the rating on a leading hotel...
Read moreIf you seriously want to ruin your holiday, book this hotel. Rooms are extremely filthy, with so much dampness, dirty bedding, windows etc. appears to be not cleaned regularly. I couldn't stay there because when I visited them, they denied of any booking even though it was booked through Yatra.com. The way they treated me, it looks like as if I am begging something and not a tourist or a probable customer for the hotel. The lack of communication with their agent and yatra.com shows the unprofessional behavior which further substantiated with hotel's front desk response. I visited other hotels to get an alternate option but couldn't succeed. One thing which can put this hotel stand apart in the crowd, is the way front desk guys speak with a tourist (they are much more professional in their conduct and helped a lot even if no room...
Read moreWe went to Chail for a long weekend during summers. Chail was cold and beautiful. The Hotel Chain Inn, is located at the right location in Chail. I saw a lot of hotels on the way, but this and another hotel located next to it are at the best locations, if you plan on walking around the beautiful Chail Disctrict. It is around 2 to 3 kms walk from the Chail palace and quite close to the market.||The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious.||The rooms have a nice view of luscious green trees all around. The room was quite clean and spacious with wooden flooring and had a small pretty balcony. It's good for your pockets and a comfortable stay. ||They have free wifi, which works only in the reception area.||Tip when searching for location : This hotel is located after the...
