This is a little detailed review so it will take your 5 minutes. Alright, so I checked into this hotel on 20 May 2017. I was accompanied with one of my male friend. Got a decent room for Rs.1900. We had to stay for 2 days so we informed the same to the person at reception who further asked to give 2 days tariff in a advance. Due to less cash in my pocket I gave just 2000 (one day tariff). So we checked in around 5 in the evening, got fresh and went out for a walk. Later when we came back, the same person who was at the reception told that he just checked and found that there is an online booking and we have to vacate the room the next day. We told him very politely that he should have informed this to us while we checked in so that we would not have stayed in the same hotel as our trip was for 2 days. He abruptly said "haan sir maine dhyaan nahi diya, aap aage dekh lo, bohot hotels hain aage, mil jana chahiye aapko". So we went at the reception and talked to the manager I believe who said that he will arrange a different room but that will cost us 2500. AS PER MY UNDERSTANDING, if there are any issues in the room and if the hotelier shifts us to the another room, then we are not suppose to the pay the difference as its hotelier fault and here it was his fault and not ours. But he simply laughed and denied. Luckily there was a room available which was for Rs. 1200 which we had to take as we did not want to mess up our weekend getaway. So overall, room was good enough, food was also worth but the staff and the management were quite upfront and not sorry for anything. Our mobile charger broke and they even refused to give us the mobile charger for couple of ours, however later they did. We asked for bathroom slippers that too was denied. Also, we found mice in our room. Shower was not there in the room which was worth Rs. 1900 but it as there in the room which was for Rs. 1200. So I dint mind staying in the same hotel again when I visit next time but not keeping any expectations or help from the hotel staff or management. Read moreI went with my family to Shimla in January 2nd week (though actually had planned to visit Kufri).||There was heavy snowfall in the area and all the roads towards Kufri were blocked.||We didn't had any choice but to stay in Shimla only. We searched various hotels, but all of them were either sold out, or even if they had any room they were not forthcoming to disclose at what time will the be able to allot one.||I also tried various websites but in vain.||Luckily, we tried getting room in this hotel "LE GOURMET". The owner of the hotel who was at the front desk was considerate and kind enough to give a room to us at nominal rates, though looking at whether condition he could have charged us exhorbitantly.||The room was exceptionally clean with good view, extra blanket and clean bathroom and a changing room too, food was decent (special mention of and thanks to their chef).||Also, my cab was stuck in snow, I requested their staff to help and they readily agreed help, pushed it and got it parked safely. ||Full 5 stars to this hotel, its owner and its...
