Prashant Hotel — Hotel in Indore City

The hotel is being sold as value+ hotel by makemytrip and by oyo rooms. I trusted their assessment and booked this hotel. But my experience was very poor.

Pro: The floor staff boys on the floor were very co-operative and active and helped us proactively.

Cons:

1. The hotel is just at road, so loud horn of buses plying will not let you sleep during day. We had two days stay in weekend and we woke up at 4-5 AM in the morning due to loud horn.

2. The hotel was having some construction work. When complained about the same, the hotelier smiled cunningly and said I am converting this hostel into a hotel to earn money. A cheap attitude on the stack of guest's convenience.

3. Everytime we entered the room after 4-5 hours, there was a foul smell. We had to ask floor boys for the room fresheners and they helped us. Later on found that it was because of a dump yard just beside parking. In the evening, we spotted few mosquito as well, so beware.

4. There is a serious privacy issue, as you can hear what guest were talking inside their rooms. If somebody is outside your room, you can clearly listen what they are talking about. In that sense, you should be careful about your private talks.

5. Wifi was not working and fluctuating a lot. It took 45 min to install an app of size 12 MB from google play. The JIONET wifi on AB road i-Bus was much faster than this. I observed that the hotel has different wifi for its own usages and pathetic one for guests.

6. I had ordered paaw-bhaaji from their restaurant "black olive". It was tasteless and I think the Bhaji was cooked last night and re-heated. Avoid the food. Rather you can get some good option nearby AB road.

7. When I was using stair cases, I observed that a room was full of hazardous and flammable chemicals. Not sure, if it belonged to other non-hotel businesses running in the premises. But it could be life threatening in case of fire-hazard.

Overall, this hotel is overpriced and a cheap hotel. The owner is a cunning person, who would only smile on the complaint and interested in...

After reading good reviews, we had booked this hotel for 2 nights for a family of 4 people. Overall take - Average 2-star hotel. Cons- Cockroaches in room Hot water service unavailable you have to waste almost 3-4 buckets of water to get lukewarm water, complained twice but did not get a prompt response. Room key was not provided, everytime we had to request at reception to open the door for us. Although food taste was good, but the Restaurant ambience and hygiene was way below average. Restaurant is not in the hotel premises; you have to go out of the hotel. Rooms smells and old furniture. People have spitted in rooms and bathrooms, stains on walls They did not provide mineral water bottles.

Nice place to stay. Easily accessible. Super friendly staff. Very reasonable pricing. Very Clean. Salute to housekeeping.

Biggest drawback was the unavailability of food. The response for each & every item from the providing restaurant was, sorry can't serve this, can't serve that. Not even Noodles. Paid for breakfast and never got any. Are you kidding me?

Other than that, the bathroom shower did not work and the knobs came out. Toilet Flush didn't work properly. And I suppose that hot water is available only in the morning, and it's too hot, unbearably hot.

Fan made screeching noise, lights didn't light up and also the curtain/shade was all old and messed up. Needed magic and luck for the natural light, because as told earlier, lights did not...
