Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend
Our recent 4-night stay at this hotel, during which we booked 5 rooms, was unfortunately a highly unpleasant experience. The following issues were consistently observed across all the rooms, and despite raising concerns, there was little to no improvement during our stay:
Unclean and Damaged Linens – Bedsheets were stained (including food and what appeared to be blood stains), with some sheets even torn.
Poor Bathroom Hygiene – Bathrooms were not cleaned properly and lacked basic sanitation.
Dusty Interiors – Curtains, cushion covers, furniture, and room surfaces were visibly dusty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
Maintenance Issues – Walls had multiple dents and peeling plaster, giving a rundown feel.
General Hygiene Concerns – Surfaces were grimy and not sanitized.
Safety Hazards – Mirrors were improperly fastened and posed a risk of falling.
Substandard Room Service – Staff were unprofessional and unresponsive.
Food Quality – Meals served were often undercooked and unhygienic.
Faulty Elevators – Lifts got stuck midway multiple times, which was alarming.
Plumbing Problems – Clogged drains and malfunctioning flush systems created major inconvenience.
Unpleasant Odor – Persistent bad smells in rooms made the stay uncomfortable.
Air Conditioning Issues – Despite booking AC rooms, some rooms did not have functional air conditioning.
Room Mismatch – We were given 2 smaller rooms than the rooms we had booked initially.
Inconsistent Housekeeping – Cleaning services were irregular, and requests were ignored.
Unhygienic Laundry Handling – Washed laundry was stored inappropriately in unsanitary areas.
Lack of Basic Amenities – One of the rooms did not have a geyser.
No/Faulty Bathroom Exhausts – Absence of exhaust fans resulted in lingering foul smells.
Overall, the stay was extremely disappointing, and the conditions were far below acceptable standards for any hotel. We requested your reception staff that as we are having kids with us it will take time to get fresh. We exactly reached your dine area at 9.40 which is again not late as your food time is 8 to 10. All this incident was happened at 10.18pm. your people are lying all about timings. I can prove everything as everything was happening before one of your guest having his food with his family. When we reached there were really some food items were finished. After our request everything was refilled. The matter is when we asked for some food items each time your staff replied that it was finished. Our kids demanded for glasses to drink water that fellow replied that we don't even have glasses to provide. We still requested him that how can you say directly about not having glasses. Then he replied very rudely what he can do when we don't have. After then we got angry to receive such reply. As for as talk with owner, our travel coordinator has taken call in conference with a person who replied very rudely. I thought he must be the owner. Dear sir, Whenever a person travels with his family and friends he expects some good service at tourist places. It is not at all exceptable to receive denies from hotels services. We were 11 people who were suppose to have food at dinner. As we checked in at 8.40pm and exact number of people will having food was clear then how come food and things were finished. We are well educated and belonging to respective families. Please confirm from your reception people whether we misbehaved with them. People come to your place expecting to receive nice hospitality. Dilapidated Furniture|- Furniture was ancient and in terrible shape.|- Most of it looked like it hadn’t been replaced or maintained in years, and it was definitely not in a presentable or usable condition.|3. Washroom Issues & Security Concerns|- The washroom windows did not close properly, which is a serious security concern, especially since the room was just on the first floor.|- Drainage problems persisted throughout the stay, and water would accumulate on the floor.|- The water heaters were unreliable, randomly stopping from time to time.|4. Pathetic Food Quality|- The food served was of very poor quality.|- Roti's were often half-cooked and cold, making the dining experience quite unpleasant.|5. Unprofessional Staff Behavior|- Some staff members were rude and uncooperative.|- Their lack of humility was noticeable from day one, and they seemed disinterested in resolving any concerns.|6. Elevator Malfunctioning|- The elevator is very old and unreliable.|- It frequently stopped working, and guests had to climb up to the 3rd floor for breakfast/dinner – which was especially difficult for elderly members in our group.|---|Overall Verdict:|Our stay at K2INN Srinagar was a total disaster.
