I had to give one star as I didn't have an option to give zero stars. Though that's the most appropriate rating for this hotel is 0 stars as it's more of a dharamshala. I was travelling with a group of 4 families and we booked 5 rooms with 3 bed each through GoIbibo (Booking mail attached). On reaching the hotel, I was provided two 3-bedded rooms and two 3 bedded rooms spread across 3 floors. Logging a complaint with GoIbibo didn't help as after logging the complaint, hotel owner threatened to take away the only room on ground floor which my mother had occupied as she can't climb stairs and hotel doesn't have any lift. As it was already late evening and we were a large group, we had to take what was available but our ordeal didn't end here. Rooms on first and second floor had missing window panes due to which these rooms were very cold. Hotel didn't have any additional blankets available and reception staff were highly un-cooperative. They even kept the reception phone off hook so we had to come down two floors for every small thing. Rooms are so small that there was not enough space to move around after keeping our two suitcases in the room (attaching pictures). We had to spend the sleepless night in Jammu's cold December weather. Though the hotel claims to provide breakfast, they don't have a kitchen. They even refused to provide warm water at 10:00PM saying they don't have any provision for the same. Breakfast was parathas cooked by hotel staff in a makeshift kitchen on roof top and was limited to one paratha for each of us. We had to pay additional money for breakfast even when it was supposed to be included in the room rent. I'm still fighting with GoIbibo to refund my money and blacklist the hotel. Wouldn't recommend anyone to fall into the trap of this hotel and GoStay guarantee.

This property is in a great location right in front of the city landmark Raghunath temple. Shopping, food and transportation are plentiful. It is ok for a night or two but amenities are non existent for longer stays. No kettle, closet or iron in the room. Although you can order room service and get laundry done except on sundays. Washrooms are basic with hot water, although the one I had had leaky dripping taps and faulty flush that required you to wait half an hour before you could use it again after using it once. Did not fix it after promising they will. Sheets and towels are not in the best condition and blanket had burn holes in it. There however is an electric heated topper on the mattress so you will be cosy all right. I Could not figure out how to use the TV remote and did not have time to watch it anyway. There is a window air conditioner that I did not use as this is winters. There is no room heater and room gets pretty cold with bare concrete floor. Stray dogs bark all night making sleep a challenge .The owners however are pleasant to talk to!

Local Market hotel The hotel is right at the heart of Raghunath bazar, walkable distance to temple, once you step out, you are already on the streets of Bazar. Reception is very welcoming and their services are quick and responsive. Hotel seems to be very old infrastructure. We took Super deluxe room but I would consider below executive. Wasn’t maintained well at all, can see torn bedsheet, stained towels served, walls are cracked with painting, and THE WASHROOM, NOT AT ALL LIKE HOTEL’s WASHROOM. IF YOU WANT l GEYSER, YOU NEED TO SWITCH OFF AC, that too, have to request reception. Only recommended if you are a local market lover or looking for 2 star hotel or just want to freshup and walk off. All the pictures are shared.

Okay rooms. One can't complain as one expect the basics. It's very within the heart of the market, hence it's easy to hop in and hop off to market at will. One doesn't have the basic freedom to do bathe as per their convenience in this hotel and one is forced to fight and argue for these basic amenities like hot water. They want to decide when one should bathe, don't help & leave you at the mercy of the cold water. See description below The hotel staff lies repeatedly. There's no network in the rooms. I use Airtel. There's no writing or working desk or table here. Difficult to locate the hotel. The description on GoIbibo that it's opposite Raghunath Temple is misleading. As per the hotel staff, the Wifi provided is Open WiFi, hence everyone can connect to it. The speed can be poor. Fortunately, I didn't have to work as my office calls got cancelled. Due to #4, #5 and #7 one can't consider it for Business travel, wrong projection by GoIbibo.

Issue 1: No Hot Water and Staff That Lies. Hot water facility at hotel not provided as the mains for geysers were kept switched off by the hotel staff from outside. They lied that they had switched it ON, but had actually not. They lied that although geyser LED didn't glow red, the geyser will provide hot water. Hot water never came for next 30 minutes as promised and I was asked to wait... No hot water still... Due to this, hot water remained unavailable. Hence, I had to sleep without getting freshened up although I was tired & exhausted from a difficult travel day. Only in the morning when I went to check the MCB located outside the room in the lobby, I realised that they lied that geyser was turned ON. It actually wasn't. Last evening, the geyser line was not actually turned ON by the hotel staff and I was confidently lied! When I turned on the geyser main line, this time the red LED was ON, confirming their lie... However, even after waiting for further 30 minutes, there was still no hot water. I had to call the reception for this. I was initially told kitchen will open at 8 am, they cannot provide hot water and I should wait for another hour! Only when I persisted, argued and pursuaded, hot water was provided in a bucket. If the kitchen was off, hot did they manage this in 2 minutes? Why was this not offered to me immediately when I requested? This proves the unhelpful nature of the staff here and the worst example of customer service. Also a mean mentality of perhaps saving electricity by pushing customers to use cold water.

Issue 2: No Network There's no network in the rooms. I used Airtel. One has to walk outside from the lobby to the exterior lobby window where one gets 1 or 2 bars of network to talk. My co-ordination with the driver was impacted and went in disarray due to this. Very poor experience. One can surely not make it recieve important phone calls from here.

Poor experience of...

Worst hotel I have stayed so far. Don't be fooled by the upgraded reception area. That's the only nice part of the hotel. The room is smelly, the sheets have stains, the cupboard have mold, the curtains are so old and smelly, the a/c is not properly functional and makes weird loud noises.

But the main problem is, noise. I have dailed the receptionist with noise problem couple of times, but there is no difference, so I gave up on that. I couldn't sleep at all because there is constant banging of doors through out the night. People are very loud here even at 1 AM /2 AM. I stayed in 3 floor, but can crystal clearly hear the conversations of an Uncle talking loudly in his phone at around almost 2 AM from 2nd floor. I tried to increase my fan speed, which generally helps to cancel noise if the rooms are atleast a bit sound proof. But looks like these rooms don't do the least job to filter sound. My neighbour's are very loud too. Through out the late night they felt ok, to shout loudly near my door, or leave their door open while talking among themshelves at mid night and early morning . Not sure if this is Jammu thing, because I believe all the people who rented are tourists from other parts of India. Constantly was waken up by noises from others through out the late night. Early mornings are not even better, same story again. Worst hotel that calls it self a 2 star hotel.

I almost paid 1.9k , even though online price shows 1.3k with taxes. They will make booking available online even when they dont have vacancy (called them on phone and they confirmed they have booking available) to lure customers but when you are at the hotel they will charge you more saying they are totally booked and giving you a better room. Totally not worth the hassle. I checked-in around 9- 9:30 PM, unlike what owner mentioned below. Looks like it's his constant response to say people checked in after 11 PM.

If you are paying like me around 2k per night, try lemon tree (same price range) or other real 2-3 star hotels, that have all the amenities of professional hotels for the price you are paying, (Lemon tree is very near to railway station too). If travelling on budget, try a lodge instead, as they atleast have strict rules after 11 PM to not disturb other customers. But this hotel for that price bracket is the worst one I have been to at all. The noise ranges are so loud, it feels like you are hiding in some ones house and listening to all the people's conversations through out night, instead of sleeping in your own ...
