PLEASE READ DONT DISREGARD: I’ve never felt the utmost need to write a review before. My family and I had scheduled a week trip to visit some key points around India with our first night being in Jodhpur. We had scheduled a trip through a family friend and a local travel agency to provide a place to stay for the night. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff however that soon ended. It was noted the hotel had “booked” two rooms for my family and after viewing both we realized one of the rooms was enough to accomadate the 4 of us and decided that we did not require the other room. I use the word “booked” in quotes due to the rooms being reserved with no method of payment provided meaning we had no reason to be forced to take both rooms. Yet after several minutes and no supervising personnel available to clear any quarrel we were left with a decision to either stay in one room and possible still be charged the next morning for both rooms. Or forcefully use two rooms and still pay for both rooms, because staff was adamant on the room “going to waste” because it was already “booked” by an agency for us. Regardless we decided to go ahead and stay in both since it appeared we’d gave to pay for both anyways and it was nearly 1 am with our plans at leaving within the next 5-6 hours. Within the first 20 minutes while preparing to sleep one room was found to be infested with ants and after killing several in a pile by the door, staff “cleaned up” by using one of the floor mats to wipe away the dead ants and nothing else was done. With blanket and sheets being stained as well. Again it was late and we decided to go ahead and just deal and sleep. The next morning while we were promised hot water within 5 minutes after turning on individual water heaters we waited an hour before this happened, then the unexpected happened. While attempting to bathe and refill the bucket with hot water and touching the metal knob my hand started tingling I quickly disregarded and tried again and was shocked (quite literally) to realize there was electricity running through the metal and water. I called hotel staff members who came in and proceeded to recreate the electrocution to no avail nearly proving me a liar. Until I realized I was the only one partially wet and barefooted and proceeded to try to touch the running water and metal to be shocked yet again in front of them. After staff removed their shoes they finally believed there was an issue. I proceeded to shower in another room, again having to wait for water to heat and running behind our traveling schedule. And while exiting we were still expected to pay full price for both rooms with multiple calls being made to management/ travel agency. In the end we ended up paying for one room and our tea though honestly if this was anywhere else in the world this business should be shut down and every member should be sued. Everything else can be overlooked but NO ONE SHOULD BE ELETROCUTED MULTIPLE TIMES EVER. And be expected to pay for everything. We have since been behind schedule everyday because of spending several hours arguing. It’s quite possible their water heaters have been short circuiting for some time but if people shower with slippers may not felt anything. PLEASE TO ANYONE READING THIS SKIP THIS PLACE AND IF...
Read moreSecond Home - That is what I can use to describe this wonderful boutique hotel in Jodhpur. They literally take care of you like family at the same time providing you your privacy in your luxurious, well maintained, spacious, clean and well decorated room. Rooms are so beautiful and peaceful that you would fall in love with them.
Bathrooms are big and very clean with all basic amenities working. They also have two restaurants in hotel itself, one at ground floor and one at rooftop with bar facilities. They are managed by different management.
They provide tasty breakfast with tea/coffee which is prepared by the owner herself. I have never tasted so tasty breakfast ever in any hotel I have stayed in my life. The quantity is more than enough to give you proper energetic start of the day.
Madhu mam and her children - Shivaranjani & Fateh takes care of the property and also takes care of guests like family members. We experienced Hospitality at its best at La Villa.
Our stay was such amazing experience that on last day me and my wife were trying for train tickets for next day so that we can extend our stay for one more day but hard luck with Indian railways otherwise we were in no mood to leave hotel.
My wife was touched by one of the gesture of owner Shivaranjani which I want to mention. We went to movie one night, it was late night show. As we had not returned to hotel and I was traveling with wife, Shivaranjani messaged us to check if we are safe and not in any trouble. Who cares this much this days in unknown city. We were touched by her gesture.
Fateh is also very supportive and helpful and always makes sure we are comfortable. Madhu mam has raised them very well and they all together have created a wonderful place for us tourist & visitors of Jodhpur named La Villa Boutique hotel.
Two things that will bring us back to jodhpur and will make us frequent visitors would be La Villa Boutique hotel and Jodhpur's food.
We found another home and an extended family in Jodhpur.
You will never regret booking this...
Read moreOn the way from Jaipur to Jodhpur, i reserved a room , seeing positive reviews and pictures. Room we received was very bad , without any proper amenities ( no blankets, no towels etc. ) no charging plugs points near bed side, only one where the Tv plugged and it was all cluttered. Room seems not maintained well to rent as a hotel room. Its not worth 1700/- so we canceled reservation and left. Since we came all the way from Jaipur(tired), depending on this stay, it took few hours for us to find another one. Also we did not get proper parking in front of the property. (There was a broken down old car parked in front, dont know why they remove that and provide that...
