Way too overpriced. The quality of food was average. The ambiance was good because the seating arrangement was quite a few. They have two separate sitting halls for the guests with an adequate number of tables, but the honest truth is that they don't have a sufficient number of staff to handle the incoming guests.
We ordered the following Lassi - 150 Chappathi - 9 nos - 270 rupees chicken soup - was okish Mint Mohito - 120 - ok but not worth 120 Chicken korma - 900 way too pricy. We still don't understand why they charge a bomb for a curry. There was nothing extraordinary about the curry. It had boneless pieces, but that was it. There is nothing to boast for 900 freaking rupees. But we didn't have much choice and we needed something very badly. So we ordered.
We went in at 2 PM and waited for a waiter to give us a menu card for almost 20 minutes. I had to go personally and tell them that we didn't even get a menu card for 20 minutes. Then, after 5-10 minutes, someone gave us a menu card.
After we ordered, it took another 20 minutes for our order to arrive. They served half order first. I intimated them that we have pending items, but they ignored and kept us waiting again for 10 minutes after we finished what we were served earlier. The price of items are way too high . There was nothing great or out of the world to justify 900 rupees for a chicken currry. I would genuinely advise to avoid this place as there could be multiple good options other...

We ended up at The Spice Route on the recommendation of our driver after finding a long waiting list at Gypsy, and we’re so glad we gave this place a try! Sometimes, famous spots are a bit overrated and don’t always value the rush of customers, so exploring new restaurants turned out to be a delightful experience for us.
The ambiance at The Spice Route was welcoming, and the service was prompt and attentive. The staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Coming to the food, it was absolutely delicious! We tried Chicken Handi, Laal Maans, Ker Sangri, Tandoori Chicken, and Masala Papad, and every single dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Laal Maans, in particular, was rich and spicy, a must-try for anyone who loves authentic Rajasthani flavors. The Ker Sangri was equally impressive and added a traditional touch to our meal.
This experience reminded us that sometimes lesser-known places can surprise you with their quality and taste. If you’re looking for an alternative to the more crowded restaurants in Jodhpur, The Spice Route is definitely...
Read moreA friend recommended so I decided to have dinner at Spice Route. There were very few people at 8:30 pm. I ordered Bati dal churma meal along with Gobhi sabji and garlic naan. Unfortunately my experience was not a pleasant one. First the bati was not fully cooked. I asked the waiter to bring me well cooked batis. He was reluctant first and argued that this is how it's done. Well being Marwari I am very familiar with bati. When it is done well it breaks apart easily and soaks ghee well. And it has great taste. Churma was terrible tasting. Dal was OK but not as soft for my liking. Gobhi was ok, at least not oily or very spicy. Garlic naan was ok but again it had no flavor. I could only eat one third of the meal. My appetite was shot already. Friend who recommended this place said he only tried lal maas a non veg dish there. The atmosphere there needs better lighting outside. Waiters were not in Jolly mood and never even greeted customers. I will be in Bhopal soon and quality of food and friendliness is excellent there. Lots of better places to eat in Jodhpur and I will avoid...
