This was our fourth visit to Chandramukuta, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. Since Z Vacations took over management, the homestay has gone downhill. I had high hopes for our stay, especially after speaking to Mr. Dayanand, the owner, prior to our trip. When I specifically asked if the food and service remained the same as before, he assured me that they had not changed. Sadly, this was far from the truth.||||Chandramukuta used to be a warm, welcoming homestay where guests were treated like family. Meals were all-inclusive, coffee was served in unlimited amounts, and the quality was always exceptional. I had recommended this place to several friends and family members, but after this visit, I will be doing the opposite. I’m even planning to personally reach out to those I once recommended it to and advise them to avoid this place in the future.||||The transition to a commercial resort model has been disastrous. The rooms are priced at an exorbitant ₹17,000, but the service and food are subpar. The biggest letdown was the food, which is now charged extra. Not only was it bland and tasteless, but they didn’t even serve proper filter coffee, which was one of the standout features of Chandramukuta in the past. ||||The homestay now expects guests to pre-order meals for lunch, evening snacks, and dinner via WhatsApp, which is already a hassle. Even with our orders clearly sent in advance, they still managed to mess up our requests. Additionally, we were charged for welcome drinks—a charge that only got removed from the final bill after we questioned it.||||To make matters worse, even the simplest requests were met with indifference. We hoped to get hot water late at night, but when I called the chef at 10 PM, I was told that the kitchen was closed. There was no attempt from the staff to check if we needed anything before they shut down for the night. They did not have facility for electric kettle too. So much for calling themselves a resort now!||||The staff were clueless and lacked basic hospitality training. When you’re charging this much for a stay, you expect far better service, but unfortunately, this place has become a mere shadow of its former self. The personal touch and attention to detail that made Chandramukuta so special have been completely lost.||||Mr. Dayanand, if you happen to read this, I’m truly sorry to say that your homestay is no longer the charming, welcoming place it used to be. The shift to a commercial approach, combined with poor service and lackluster food, has left us deeply disappointed. We will not be returning, and I will be advising all my friends and family to steer clear of your property...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful resort nestled far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and it exceeded every one of my expectations.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the peacefulness that surrounded the resort. The air was fresh, and the entire area was enveloped by the soothing sounds of bird songs, which set the perfect tone for relaxation. The resort is located within a lush green coffee estate, with rows of vibrant flowers that not only added a burst of color to the landscape but also filled the air with their delightful fragrance.
The staff here are incredibly warm and hospitable, always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Ajay, the manager, whose extraordinary attention to detail and outstanding management skills made this stay even more memorable. It’s clear that Ajay and his team care deeply about providing a top-tier experience.
One of the highlights of the stay was the campfire experience at night. Sitting by the fire, under the stars, with the crisp mountain air around us, was truly magical and the perfect way to end a day of unwinding in nature.
The food here was another big surprise. The dishes were absolutely delicious, prepared using local spices and ingredients, and bursting with flavors. Every meal felt like a celebration of local cuisine, and I could tell that a lot of thought went into each dish.
Overall, this resort was more than I ever imagined. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the noise of the city, this is the place to be. It’s a little piece of paradise, and I’ll definitely be returning! Highly...
Read moreI had a very disappointing and unsafe experience at this property. The doors were not closing properly, and basic amenities like TV were missing in some rooms. The room we were given was full of insects — spiders, snails, bloodsuckers, and even a small reptile moving like a baby snake. There were also cobwebs in the washroom, showing poor hygiene and maintenance. Even after multiple cleanings, the same issues kept repeating (I am even attaching the call logs to show how many times we had to call the staff to clean up those insects).
We requested another room, but they didn’t have one readily available. When we asked for a refund, they refused. We then decided to vacate, but shockingly, they still demanded we pay for dinner. We suggested adjusting it against the booking amount since they were not refunding, but they outright denied. To make things worse, they even closed the property gate and didn’t allow us to leave.
One lady from the family was sensible and tried to understand our situation, but unfortunately the others were arrogant and dismissive. The property owner, Dayanand, accused us of doing this intentionally and claimed he wasn’t informed. We booked through Agoda and were only in contact with the staff — we had no idea the owner lived on-site or how to reach him directly. The way they handled the situation was unprofessional, unsafe, and completely unacceptable.
Book at your own risk — except for that one sensible lady, the rest of the experience was unsafe, unhygienic, unprofessional, and extremely...
