This is a review of my second visit to Good earth.||This was one of the most memorable trip of mine tiill date fr 2 reasons - Work & Rain !!||Work - Huge change in departure time, were to leave office by 3pm however left office by 8pm - 5 hour delay ... would have reached GE by 8 if we had followed the initial plan. Unexpected Work delayed the plans.||Rains - unseen , unheard rains starting from our office in Bellandur to Hassan fr about 220 kms restricted our visibility and speed to anywer between 40 - 60 kms on a road meant fr driving above 100kms for most if its stretch !!||Plan was to reach homestay by 1030pm however could reach only by 4:45am, precisely 9 hours fr a 280kms drive from our office ... thanks to the insane rains !!||Pros ||Mrs.Sudesh ( owner ) took charge of asking our whereabouts , time of departure , ETA , gave details of Dinner preparations etc. On the day of leaving ... only shows how committed & caring they are with their guests.||Our requests on food , additional mattress , other requirements were also asked a day before to ensure no hassles ||Dinner was kept in hot boxes and the 14 of us enjoyed the food as soon as we arrived .. the caretaker also called us to check our whereabouts few times and asked if we required any guidance on the route ||24/7 hot water ||Music system with speakers available till 1130pm ||Veg & Non veg Food was yummy .. home cooked fr all 3 meals... loved it !!||Snacks at evening with campfire, avalability of Tea/ coffee when asked was an added advantage ||Extremely Friendly caretakers, guided us to visit a place which was an unbelievable experience 👌||The location is just excellent !!||Cons : ||Can't think of many but we observed Veg food ( lunch and dinner only) was over quickly, not sure if the quantity was less or we ate too much but it somehow kept falling short. ||No regrets otherwise ||A blissful experience ... once again !!||With thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Sudesh,|||Mahesh...
Read morethis is my late review as I had visited in Feb 2014. If you are planning for a trip amidst the greenery in a secluded place then you might consider this location. This home stay has a couple of cottages and are pretty interior. We stayed in the cottage that could accommodate 8 pax. Here they had 3 bed rooms, of which 1 bed room could accommodate 3 adults easily, the other 2 rooms could fit in 2 adults per room easily. It has got a kitchen and 2 support to help you all through the day. Even there is a very cozy drawing cum dining room where you can sit and have a good get together. At the front of the homestay there is an open area with a provision for bonfire (we had it too). In the evening they had provided us with appetisers as well to go with the drinks. Drinks you need to purchase from outside. The family who owns this is very affectionate. We had reached the location almost at midnight but they were very welcoming even then. ||||Point to note : if you are going with kids, please carry indoor board games and also badminton or cricket to keep them engaged. ||||You will surely carry good...
Read moreWe were a group of six guys looking for a budget-friendly homestay with a forest-like experience. We found the contacts online and began making inquiries. From the very beginning, Mrs. Madhu was extremely polite and patiently answered all of our questions. She was clear about the amenities they provided and even offered us a great deal based on our requirements.
When we finally visited the property, it was late at night, but we were still impressed by the location, scenery, and overall maintenance. The service provided by the attendants was excellent, as they catered to all of our needs. The rooms were exactly as advertised.
As for the food, it was slightly on the spicier side but still delicious. The portion sizes were more than enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit. You're sure to have a wonderful experience, just...
