I had a terrible experience and i definitely want to list down,

Expensive Rooms with Poor Quality: The rooms at Club Mahindra Resort were excessively priced compared to other options in Coorg, yet the quality did not justify the cost. Additionally, the food was overrated, and the high prices did not match the mediocre quality. Lack of Information during Check-In: Upon arrival, the staff provided minimal information, only handing over the key without explaining available packages, resort facilities, or dining options. This lack of guidance made it difficult to navigate the resort effectively. Substandard Swimming Pool Conditions: The swimming pool was poorly maintained, filled with bleaching powder, and shallow, rendering it unsuitable for adults seeking relaxation. Ineffective Cooling and Faulty TV: The absence of air conditioning in the room made it uncomfortably hot, and the provided fan was ineffective. Additionally, attempts to use the TV were futile due to a faulty cable connection. Poor Hygiene and Amenities: The refrigerator emitted a foul odor, and no additional towels or sanitary kits were provided, reflecting a lack of attention to hygiene and guest comfort. Confusion Regarding Dining Options: The lack of clear directions regarding dining options further added to our frustration, leaving us unsure where to dine during our stay. Disappointing Barbeque Buffet Dinner: The advertised barbeque buffet dinner failed to meet expectations, with subpar quality and limited beverage options. Pre-booked arrangements were disregarded, and the manager displayed a careless attitude towards customer service. Limited Indoor Activities and Lack of Special Arrangements: Indoor activities ended early, limiting opportunities for relaxation. Despite booking the resort for our anniversary, no special arrangements were made, indicating a lack of attention to detail. Mishandled Cake Delivery: Even a simple cake delivery was mishandled, reflecting the staff's incompetence and lack of professionalism. Unsatisfactory Breakfast Experience: Breakfast lacked variety and quality, further adding to our disappointment with the overall dining experience at the resort. Delays and Poor Communication During Check-Out: During check-out, we experienced further delays and poor communication from the management, compounding our frustration and dissatisfaction with the entire experience. Overall Inefficiency and Negligence: Our experience at Club Mahindra Resort was marred by inefficiency, negligence, and a lack of basic amenities. Check-in Process: Upon arriving at the Club Mahindra Madikeri resort at around 4:30 pm, we were greeted by a welcoming committee of 8 to 10 people, which was a warm gesture. However, the check-in process was less than smooth. With only one staff member handling the check-ins, who seemed overwhelmed by the workload, it took us nearly an hour of continuous follow-up to receive our room cards. This delay caused frustration not only for us but also for several other families who found themselves in similar situations, leading to arguments at the reception.

Room Allocation and Quality: Our initial room assignment was in basement 2, accessible only via daunting stairs and without elevator access. This was particularly concerning for my pregnant wife and young daughter, making the room feel inaccessible and unsuitable. After a strenuous effort, we managed to secure rooms on the ground floor, but it took until 7 pm to finally settle in. The rooms, although decently sized and well-maintained, showed signs of age, including hard water stains and outdated furnishings. Additionally, the tap water, despite being drinkable as in many European countries, had a noticeable chlorine smell, prompting concerns for my pregnant wife and child's health.

Food and Beverage: Opting out of the breakfast plan due to our preference for à la carte dining, we were disappointed to find no available restaurant service post 10:30 am. This forced us to settle for a mini buffet priced at Rs. 500 per person, which, while generous, was not our preferred choice. Room service, our go-to for lunch and dinner, was notably overpriced with unsatisfactory packaging, though the food quality and taste were commendable. The absence of provided cutlery meant we had to reuse our limited in-room utensils, which was inconvenient.

Facilities and Staff: On a positive note, the spa, activities offered, and the overall natural ambiance of the resort were enjoyable. The staff were generally pleasant and contributed to a positive atmosphere throughout our stay.

Recommendations: Future guests might benefit from contacting the resort in advance to specify room preferences, particularly to avoid the less accessible basement accommodations.

Absolute chaos ! Don’t go hear during peak holiday season or weekends . they have untrained staff , they are short staffed and carry no value for customers in spite of exorbitant rates . they are non receptive to feedback . Room Service takes 30-40 mins or sometimes no one will come - rooms are far apart. the inside roads paved are made of uneven stone making it hard for senior citizens or people with disabilities. you can not just walk to reception or restaurant to get what you want . For peak time they freeze many components and recook . charged rs700 for a pizza with uneven cooking, the frozen base was raw while top was cooked but chef refuses to accept mistake. We could see fellow tourists complain as well . We ordered all our food without mushroom but they added mushroom to pasta and refused to take it off the bill. Room refrigerator was not working - no one came to repair it . For a simple Wi-Fi they need to trigger some code which comes on sms - we never recieved it . they have limited buggies for luggage which takes 20-30 mins after checkin to come to your room . Inside the resort - every single thing is chargeable which ruins the experience . A simple mirror maze, the size of a small room is rs 500+taxes person. For this price , trust me, you are much better off in other resorts in the area where staff is not condescending like here . If you have stayed in similar priced resorts before,you will immediately notice the big difference in service quality. I suspect the positive reviews are from some club Mahindra members who are trying to defend their membership purchase - someone told me this the best resort in the membership . Laughable !
