The best hospitality I have ever come across. Ms Bhavna and Vittal Sir, both are gem of a person. We reached pretty late at night yet they kept waiting for us. Greeted us with some home grown bananas and tasty Rava laddus. (Felt very home like❤️❤️)
The whole place is calm, green and very peaceful. Right outside our room (Acacia) there was a huge mango tree,(just like the olden times).
The cottage rooms are quite spacious and neat. They have both hot and cold water facility. I am kinda curious regarding the bathroom water as it has a very weird metallic smell. Something I didn't like. (No idea if it is all over Coorg).
We were provided with complimentary breakfast and trust me it was one of the most delicious breakfast we could ever imagine on a trip. Typical home cooked Dosa with potato and chutney along with a cup of tea, just made my work day amazing. That evening we were dead tired and on request she made tea for us (very motherly like) I don't know how to put it in words but I felt I am at home. Just loved how beautiful they are and my first trip to Coorg is forever etched beautifully in my memory.
Note : (This feedback is straight from my heart, not paid 🤗🤗)
Go here to chill and forget your stress. They have coffee plantation, Spices like black pepper are also grown here along with a lot of fruit trees. I guess why waste time walking all the way to places like Mandalpatti or Abbey falls. (Still wondering what was there except the terrible back breaking roads. I literally could count my bones while going up to Mandalpatti. 🤣🤣).
Well being here at Allaranda Homestay, serves the purpose of being away from the City...
Read moreOn first day of our stay, they have given a room which was not cleaned properly (especially bathroom). It smells bad too. They have allotted two rooms for a family of five in two different homes. Though both are in same compound, my parents were bit worried since the adjacent room to theirs was occupied by some strangers and they felt it would be better if the host would have provided adjacent rooms under one roof. On second day, they have given adjacent rooms upon request. Hosts are money minded (charged 100rs as service charge for a cake we ordered for my kid's birthday through their known baker) We had forgotten to take chocolates we purchased from coorg. After traveling around 30 kms, we called the host and asked about the same. He first told that the chocolates are found in the room and asked where exactly we are traveling. Once we asked to send it through courier, he could have simply refused to send. We could have travelled back and get it ourselves. Due to language barrier, we couldn't understand what he said at first. But he suddenly changed his statement and told that he will check the room and tell us. Later, he called us and told that he didn't find any items in the rooms we stayed. We know it was our mistake to forget it at first place but isn't it the good manners of the host to...
Read moreRecently we had stayed in Allaranda property and had a great stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. The environment, lush greenery in the surroundings and the extraordinary vibes created magic in this place. Both the owners Vittal uncle and Bhavana aunty took very good care of us from the time of entry till the end. They provided delicious and hot morning breakfast prepared by love. Their entire family is very decent and kind-hearted people. It is always better to select homestay and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Will definitely look forward to visit and make a trip in the near future. I recommend this place to most of the visitors and it's a promise you won't hesitate to enjoy yourselves as we did...
